ok so my friend is sleeping over and hes passed out basicly and im watching all those lame infomericals that apear at night when you are
really ****ing bored and this gay shit comes on.

this just reminds me of all those games like guitar hero and rockband and
such, and to me these games are the very downfall of music.

because of these games you get kids who are all like im so bad ass i play
on expert, then when you explain to them or they realize that they are
****ing fags and should learn the real instrument. they try it.
when this happens they basicly fail, eveidently causing them to give up,
so in my mind real musicians will just start declining in numbers or even
worse playing guitar hero could become considerd a art or somthing. eww

first of all, you're about two days late with guitar idol.

second of all, as someone who's Gold 5 starred every single song in Rock Band on guitar and 5 starred everything in the Guitar Hero series except for two songs, I have something to say about this little rant

I don't think I'm a bad ass because I can play the games well. I'm actually not really all that proud of it. You, however, are a complete idiot if you think I should learn the actual instrument just because I'm good at the game. 99% of the people who play Guitar Hero have enough functioning brain cells to understand that playing the game is not an accurate representation of the actual instrument the game simulates. I also know three people who play the game at an expert level and are also very talented guitarists.

Guitar Hero will not be considered an art, and music will not become obsolete. Has moving your feet in 4 directions become a dance style thanks to DDR? No. Have people given up actual forms of dancing for the entertainment they get out of a rhythm game? Absolutely not.

The fact that you could even consider some of these ideas as possible makes you one of the most closed minded, most idiotic people who's ever ranted about people who are good at rhythm games.

Well I know that play GH has nothing to do with playing actual guitar, but it has peaked my interest enough to want to learn how to play the actual thing.

i didnt say playing it made you a fag because, i am good at it too being a actual drummer. just at my school and other places i have seen tons of those fags who "play guitar". and its not like i said "EVERYONE WHO PLAYS THAT BLOWS"
im not trying to bash the game as much just how much people obsess over it basicly.
how when i look up songs on youtube i get gay rockband videos and such.
how people say your playing that song wrong, go play rockband and learn it >.<
