Orange blink? The only time I would see that happening would be on Xbox's or PS3's that got out of order.

Either your computer needs repair or you're gonna need a new one. Problems like these are likely because of an old and over-used PC, an excessive amount of CPU usage or low RAM.

It may be a virus man. Some files download automatically from the internet and may power off your computer whenever they want. Make a full scan and check if there's any suspicious file. (It's probably a .bat file)

AVG? lol, you're gonna need a better one. If only I can find the AlYac Virus Defender, I can give you the link to the free download [ it's on their website. But, they're taken down for some reason... ].

Use Auslogic Disk Defrag, CCleaner, or Windows Defender. [ If you're using Windows 7 or 8. ] If you're using Windows XP, it's gonna be really difficult to bypass the virus. [ If there is one. ] If you can't do anything, I suggest using System Restore.

You guys aren't helping anyone by guessing, especially with computer-related threads. I know you're guessing because you can't possibly diagnose something like this without enough info. Also a lack of RAM wouldn't make a computer go into standby, and I doubt a virus would either.

Is it a laptop or a PC? What OS do you have?

If the problem is happening only on the XP OS, then you're gonna need to fix it up in XP. If it is happening in both, then you're gonna have to fix it as a whole. But, if it keeps putting your computer on stand by, [ completely forgot about the stand by color. It's been a while since I had my PC do that. lol ], then you're gonna have to do some technical stuff.

But, I don't know much because I've barely came across these types of problems for a VERY long time. So, might as well let Exilement talk the rest.

Check the Power Settings in the Control Panel and see what you have it set to.

...if it only happened once you're probably fine

but if you're worried you can go to Event Viewer and look for "critical" events to give us more information
