I've been experimenting lately and this is just a draft so far.

Anyway, is it possible to attach shapes to lines and have them move along with the main body? I managed to get the head right but as for the arms it's a different scenario since they're lines that I'm going to shape and re-shape throughout the animation.

You mean... that you want those blue things moving along with the body in the animation?

Also wich program are you using?.

Then... all you have to do is drawing the arms and head with the accesories already on, and then make it a movieclip, so you can move the whole thing frame by frame. Is the only way I can think of.

If you're talking about real-time nested animation or etc., then Flash is not the useful program. If you're talking about keeping the assets on a fixed position, then turn the objects into a movie clip, connecting one arm piece to that arm and the other arm piece to the other arm. For the helmet, you combine it with the head into a movieclip.

um yeah basically you need to make each limb segment a movie clip and then dress it up however you want.

you'll have to then move/rotate the limbs around individiually because this is flash, not pivot. use the free transform (q) to rotate and flip the body parts as necessary when animating them.

you can also try making these body parts more detailed, and these body parts can be referred to as "sprites"; that is, static graphics that you use to animate, as opposed to drawing frame by frame or whatever. this is referred to as sprite animation. in this case you're using several sprites to make up a person, and then moving those sprites around to animate.

Thanks scarecrow, I didn't look at it that way. In that case I'll try and craft together something decently fancy.
