I think it's a just message to say that people should care more about CnC than about "winning" anything. I never really liked the idea of RHG's when they were implemented, but each to their own, I guess, it's not for me to say what people should and shouldn't enjoy. Whilst I can understand the dislike for the need to "win" above all else, I don't understand the anger towards it. It's commonplace to wish to succeed, and have recognition. Not only is it commonplace, it's useful; productive, even. What's the old saying? "Competition breeds innovation". The same principle that's used in economics can be applied here. Competition makes people wish to succeed, and there's no competition without a winner. Still, I do agree that it's more useful to the individual to appreciate CnC more than simply beating someone, but "winning" still has its value.

If it's a competition then yeah, that's the goal.

If you're looking for C&C, then don't enter a competition. You're expecting it to be something that it isn't, and you're blaming everyone else for that fact. It's assumed that everyone involved with the competition is putting forth their best possible work, and the goal is to determine who is better than the rest based on it. It's assumed that each person entered the competition to win, not to receive a detailed analysis of their entry so they can improve.

There's no reason to get this dramatic about it. Get over yourself and post in the show-off sections if you're looking for criticism, and stop expecting the entire site to conform to your unreasonable expectations.
