How do you make a checkered BG like the one in Rushed3?

I know how to make it like that Rosie, but like in Rushed3 it seems to be going for miles and miles.I wanna know how to stretch it like that, because when I do, it just starts to look ugly.

Put a second rectangle, with an alfa on it so it blurs on the top of it... Stretch it and put it on the BG so it blurs the horizon and makes it long ! ;)

for lazies just make a checkered texture/Bitmap like this

then draw how big is the BG,after drawing select the fill of the BG then look at the color mixer,change type to bitmap then find the checkered bitmap,arrange the bitmap's property by using the gradient transform tool also if you want the rush 3
find the alpha gradient masking here
also here what i done

suddenly it doesnt has SSB's says but hope it helps :D
