It's a kids show somehow, and has been around for a while. I like it though. The humor and the WTF factor in the show are especially what got me into it.

Recently, the shows that are having more audience are the ones with the "WTF factor", adventure time, amazing world of gumball and regular show are the more popular ones nowadays and it's because of their randomness.

Or maybe they just really like the shows. In fact, those shows are the only ones I watch on Cartoon Network.

I really liked the episode about the Antique watch Richard (Gumball's dad for anyone who didn't know) gave to Gumball...especially the 'Double What' scene :P

I know of one. Jake's Tier 15.
Anyways, I really do think that randomness is somewhat the trending thing now. I think even Oggy & The Cockroaches and Zig and Sharko fit the bill for that. [Though they seem to lean more of a Tom and Jerry clone]

Quote from HewittActually the correct term is Adult Humor. And it's not just Adventure Time. Virtually every show you know (except you know, baby shows) has Adult humor in it...something that as a Parent or Adolescent you'd interpret another way and find it funny in your own regard. This is because the writers themselves are adults and it usually depends on the Network Executive how lax their policies are or whether or not the Writers are smart and witty enough to get past the censors.
I think they try to do different styles of humor, such as sarcasm or dirty jokes, because they want to amuse the audience in any kind of way possible.
