Are you serious? You're reading into my post waay too much without knowing me at all. I simply stated a fact of my life at the moment. Let me explain since you misunderstood. Due to several other projects, exams, and real life situations I do not have the time to animate a tryout. After exams, however, I will have a lot more time to do animation and artistic things in general. You Zero, as a member of this clan, are not coming off as welcoming. Just for the record "I don't have time." does not automatically mean that I'm sitting around playing video games or something rather than spending that time animating.(Which is what it felt like you were insinuating)

Calm down Xenomaru. It's called a first impression because it's the first time I've seen you around here and I am entitled to my own opinion not as a clan member, but as a member in an animation community. If there's anything that really ticks me off, it's laziness. I apologize if it looks as if I'm pressuring you to prioritize animation over real life but what I'm trying to say here is that if you plan to come here unprepared, please don't. It gives you a bad reputation in the clan and, in general, the community.

Please do take the time to understand that I'm not acting like a superior here but as a member guiding you to a better path. Now, I'm sorry I came off unwelcoming to you as this is our first meeting, but please do try to make a tryout. There is no deadline yet and the information hasn't been given out yet(I'll be talking to Cozen about this) but in the meantime, try to make a fresh new animation and give it your all. That way, I find it that you're actually working hard to get in and not just throwing out recent animations just to get in.

If you can't do it this week, do it next week. If not, then the week after that. I wish you luck and I apologize for my upfront attitude again. Cheers!

Let's put this from a Leaders perspective too.
No this isn't an attack on you Xeno, but the way you word things can change EVERYTHING. You're meant to read into things when hiring someone.

The "I don't have time" sounds worse than "Hey, at this moment I can't squeeze a tryout into my schedule"

Though they basically say the same thing, the first sounds like "This isn't important enough for me to squeeze a 15 second animation into my schedule." the other says "I don't have the time to squeeze a 15 second animation into my schedule." That first part says a lot about someones character, and first impressions in serious clans. Especially since no one knows you. But in clans, they expect you to make time for things, so the first step being make time for a tryout means a lot.

I know you didn't expect that reaction, but you're also the first to say "I might tryout." and come back with "I don't have time" Just comes off bad, especially because there is no due dates for tryouts, it's just kind of a "Even though there is no deadline, i don't have time." And most of those animations were unfinished or had quick lazy endings. The first impression isn't good in a clan perspective, but that doesn't mean you can't redeem yourself. You never know, you might be our ally one day :)

Tryouts are currently on hold.

We are not accepting nor will we be accepting them for the time being so I welcome anyone who is trying out to either halt their animations or continue looking around for another clan. Until we further discuss the technicalities of our actions, we cannot and will not be making any monumental decisions. Stick around though if you are still interested, there might be an opportunity to join the clan sometime in the future. Sorry.
