-The night was cold and relentless. Chance's suit was fluttering slightly in the wind as he was hit by gust after gust of freezing wind. His teeth chattered quickly as he hugged himself to try and keep warm.
-"Geez, mate. Don't you ever get cold?" He asked the man beside him. To his right was a man, or rather, an android of a man. A single light of jade green blazed in the center of the psuedo-androids helmet.
-"Statement: No." Bl.An.C replied coldly. There was little to no emotion in his voice, but Chance knew better than to second guess his attitude.
-"So what a-am I supposed t-to do?" The red-haired man stuttered. He couldn't help but chuckle slightly at his own shivers, they tingled.
-"Command: Look down there." Cooper said monotously, his voice neither rising nor lowering in pitch. Chance followed the android's directions and peered down the side of the escarpment they had come to.
-At the base was a small building; nothing peculiar about a grey box of stone and concrete right?
-"Directions: Infiltrate it without being caught." Bl.An.C's emotionless tone seemed to echo slightly as he gave Chance's orders.
-"Alright, mate. You're the boss. But how do I get down there?" The red-haired man pointed down towards the building and turned towards his companion. Unfortunately, Bl.An.C was not there; instead he had simply disappeared.
-Great... Here I go. Chance thought as he gave his arms one last rub down to warm himself up. He took a deep, bone-chilling breath and stepped over the cliff's edge.
-Chance plummeted. He was falling at a fast rate, but he couldn't help but laugh. His laughter was lost in the wind a he descended faster and faster. The red hair upon his head whipped back in the wind, along with the sleeves of his shirt. Thinking quickly, he brought his thumb to his mouth and bit down, warm crimson liquid dripping out. With his free hand he snapped. The blood spun and wrapped itself around Chance's wrist, turning into an almost wristband like state.
-As the red haired man came closer to the building, he snapped again. This time a single tendril whipped out and scabbed into a hook, trying to find an opening in the rocky side of the cliff. It didn't take long for the make shift grappling hook to take place in the rocks, and Chance's descent stopped abruptly, almost tearing his arm out of its socket.
-"Note to self: next time make a slow decent..." He chuckled. With a slight grunt, he heaved himself into a position where he could peer down at the building below. The roof was empty, save for a few birds that had been roosting for the night. In the center was a small, square hatch that undoubtedly led inside. Chance was unsure of who was inside, but he had his orders that he was deternined to execute.
-The dark made it hard to see, but the moonlight gave him just enough visibility to make his way carefully down the side of the cliff, propelling down it like an experienced rock climber. At long last, Chance snapped his fingers with his free hand and fell the last two feet to the roof. The scabbed blood remained lodged in the cliff side, but Chance still had enough to open the hatch.
-"Geez, mate. You could've at least picked a warmer night..." He whined to no one in particular. His legs felt like lead in the cold, but shook it off. He was not going to disappoint Bl.An.C.
-Chance shook his head, his long red hair tickling his neck in the chilling wind. A haircut was definitely necessary. He shook the thought away and made his way to the hatch, where he found that it wasn't even locked.
-"Finally, a lucky break." He placed his hands on the cold metal to lift up, but fell back almost immediately, a yelp threatening to burst its way out of his mouth. The hatch was coursing with electricity, and the sudden jolt made him want to yell in surprise. Of course that would attract attention, and Chance didn't want that. The red-haired man clamped a hand over his mouth and bit his lip to keep quiet. His incisors brought forth blood, and that's when an idea flourished in his head.
-Quick as a wink, Chance held up his hand and snapped. The command brought the blood from his mouth and swirled about his hand where it eventually scabbed over. The crimson liquid became a gauntlet of sorts, one that wouldn't conduct the electrical pulses from the opening. Cautiously, Chance reached down and gripped the edge of the hatch. He shut his eyes and bit his lip, half expecting his body to sizzle with electricity, but nothing happened.
-"I knew it wouldn't hurt me..." He chuckled half-heartedly. With a grunt, Chance lifted the hatch opening with a single hand. He dropped through it and quicjly righted himself before it could shut loudly behind him. The opening was eased into place and Chance continued on his way, slowly making his way down the metal staircase that led to the roof. Looking down while he descended, the red-haired man could barely make out the shapes of each individual step. Luckily, a light soon broke through the darkness and it zhowed the landing of where the stairs let out.
-Chance couldn't afford any mistakes, so he very cautiously bent down and peeked at his surroundings. There were three guards, each with an indistinguishable type of gun. Chance had already formulated a plan, all he had to do now was execute it.
-The sound of footsteps brought the three guards to full attention, each pointing their guns in the direction of the noise. Out of the shadows and down the platform came Chance, hands raised in defeat and submission.
-"Halt! This is a restricted area!" One of them yelled, no doubt the lead guard.
-"Calm your tits, mates." Chance chuckled. "I'm turning myself in."
-The guards seem to be taken aback by both the insult, and the compliance of the red-haired man. One of the grunts made his way towards Chance, who merely stood there with a goofy grin.
-"Wait." The lead guard instructed. The approaching grunt stopped and raised his weapon towards the intruder, which only received an eye roll fron Chance. "How do we know this isn't a trick?"
-"Well you don't but there is something I could do to prove it you, if you really want me to." Chance replied, a small smile playing on his lips.
-"Alright, go on. No funny business though." The lead guard raised his weapon, along with the grunt behind him. The grunt that approached before proceeded cautiously, waiting for Chance's proof.
-Chance rolled his eyes and gave a soft chuckle as he turned his back. He grabbed the hem of his suit shirt and lifted it, exposing his back. Along it were cuts and scrapes, gashes and gouges, he seemed to be really torn up.
-"I had a slight accident earlier. You see, I fell down the cliff." The red-haired man chuckled as he let his shirt fall back in place, putting a short grimace of pain on his face as he turned back around.
-The lead guard thought for a second. "Alright, cuff him up and put him in a cell until we can find a doctor." He commanded, his voice booming in the badly illuminated hallway. The grunt quickly brought out his cuffs and slapped them onto Chance's wrists.
-"Jesus Christ, mate!" He yelped. "At least put 'em in the the heater first!" The cold of the metal was certainly a surprise after finally warming up, but Chance let them lead him away. He was prodded in the back several times by the butts of their guns, but he stayed with it.
-The group walked through the hallways, and Chance was surprised at just how badly the place was lit up. The lights glowed but with a soft, dirty-yellow color. The lead guard asked several questions, which Chance answered respectfully. This banter continued until they reached a room with a row of cells along its wall, each one empty. One was about to be filled though, with Chance.
-The guards ushered him into a single cage and locked the door. They stood guard there for a little while, taking rounds on making sure everything was secure. That's when the alarm sounded.
-"ATTENTION! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! OFFICERS TO DECK 3! INTRUDER IS HEAVILY ARMED!" The voice sounded through the whole building and red lights began flashing in alarming intervals. The guards were forced to leave Chance behind as they rushed to find and terminate this armed inruder.
-Right as the trio rushed and turned down the hallway, a familiar face walked in. Or rather, a familiar helmet.
-"Statement: You have failed." Bl.An.C said monotously. A small hint of disappointment somehow found its way into the pseudo-androids typical, emotionless tone.
-"Have I?" Chance chuckled, leaning against the metal bars.
-"Affirmation: You did not infiltrate the parameters without getting caught. Therefore you have failed." Bl.An.C replied coldly, the jade-green light on his helmet seeming to glow a bit brighter.
-The red-haired man's teeth flashed as he smiled, the sly grin taking the android by slight surprise.
-"Quite the contrary my mechanical companion." Chance chuckled.
-"Confusion: Explain."
-"First, let me show you a simple... Magic trick. Once you see it, you will understand." Chance laughed softly and stood up straight.
-"Statement: Proceed." Cooper's voice seemed slightly filled with curiosity as he watched the red-haired man.
-Chance slowly raised his hands slightly above his head. "POOF." He snapped his fingers, and his body dissipated. Blood fell to the ground and condensed into a puddle, where it stayed.
-"Conclusion: Interesting. He managed to escape by replicating his own body structure out of blood." Bl.An.C stared at the small puddle and retracted his helmet. Underneath, he was grinning happily. "Statement: That smart bastard."
-Chance stood on the edge of a cliff, at least a mile away from the commotion.
-"I wonder if he's found me yet." He chuckled. His grin flashed in the moonlight. However, his teeth weren't the only things that attracted the light's attention. Across his wrists were slits, with a mix of fresh, and scabbed, blood. His idea had worked perfectly, all he had to do now was wait for Cooper's return. Until then, Chance chuckled quietly to himself, his suit coat fluttering gently in the chilling night air.
