If you made a triangle, how to make it really on the centre of the stage?

Open up the align panel. There should be a 'center' button. I don't remember if it's in Flash 8, but if you see it, make sure "To Stage" is also depressed in the align panel.

If that doesn't work, some simple math will do. Assuming the topleft corner of the triangle's bounding box is where its location is determined from, the x-value should be (Stage.width-triangle._width)/2, and the y-value (Stage.height-triangle._height)/2.
