Okay, this is the first tourney I've created, so it might be a little... off.

Rules:

1. Read all the rules. Often. I reserve the right to change, add, or delete rules at any time.

2. Copy and paste all the rules in your signup.

3. YOU MUST HAVE A RATING UNDER 1700 TO JOIN. And very good players will not be able to deliberately lose games to get under 1700, or create a new account to join. If you were 1700ish and then lost a few games, I'll probably let you in if you make a good case for yourself.

4. No spamming, raging, or general unnecessariness in the chat or in this thread. You will be immediately kicked out if you do.

5. In your signup, somehow, someway, include your SE account name, your friend code, your timezone, the empire you will be using (random is allowed) and your rating.

6. No whining about matchups. Although that is something I'm hoping to avoid by putting a rating cap on people.

7. I will try to match people with similar timezones, but it is up to the players to arrange a time for a match.

8. The tourney will be one game per match, triple elimination. The match must be played within 4 days. If it is not I will choose the most active person to move on. Er... win, because it's triple elimination. Everybody starts in the High Bracket. One loss will move a person to the Middle Bracket. A second loss will move a person to the Low Bracket. A third loss will eliminate said person. The winner of the Middle Bracket will face the winner of the Low Bracket, who will have to win 2 games in a row to win that match. The winner of that match will play the winner of the High Bracket. If the Middle Bracket winner won against the Low Bracket winner without losing once against him in that match, the High Bracket winner will have to beat him in 2 games, and the Middle Bracket winner will have to beat him in 3 games. In all other cases the Middle and Low Bracket winner will have to beat the High Bracket winner in 3 straight games. The winner of that match is declared the winner.

9. Maximum signups is 16. Minimum signups is 8. If we have 7 players by next Sunday I will join myself, because I'm a noob too.

10. The winner gets a prize to be announced later.

11. A forum account is required throughout the tourney. If you get banned during the tourney you will be kicked out.

12. Ignore rule 2.
