I just Super Smash Bros. Brawl yesterday, but it keeps on crashing, saying it couldn't read the disc. I thought the issue was the disc it self, so I went to the store to clean it, but it still keeps on saying it can't read the disc. Do you guys know how to solve this problem?

Is it scratched severely? If so, there's your problem.

It might be your Wii. Check if any other game works.

I told you, I went to the store to remove the scratches and clean it, but it still didn't work.

All of my other games work. I played Melee a lot before I got Brawl.

That's a damn shame
I suggest you buy it again.
It's not like it's expensive

It's $30 and I"m not willing to pay that much again. I'm just trying to figure out what's wrong with it.

Have you looked at the actual face of the disk since it was cleaned? If there are any scratches that wouldn't come out from cleaning they should stand out a bit on the surface.

It does have scratches, but not that many.

But I remember once I got a used game for Melee that wasn't scratched that much, but it didn't work. Then I got another copy, but it had scratches all over it. However, I worked perfectly.

Maybe the scratches might be the issue. I'm going to get a refund on the game if I don't find a way to fix it soon.

dual layer discs, (which brawl is) tend to work badly on older model wiis.

Ah, that would make sense. But I got the Wii after Brawl was released, somewhere around 2010

Also, I went to the store recently and got the disc cleaned again, but now the game is now getting worse. Everytime I wanna play a match now, it crashes. wtf?

EDIT: I just went to the store and got a new copy, so there's no use for this thread anymore. Someone bin this please.
