1) with saving an animated gif, the finished project is not animated.
2) when I save png,bmp and jpg(and this goes for both), you can see any lines or artwork outside the set dimensions(unless I draw inside the frame, it like stretches the picture frame).

the gif, make sure you export the movie, not the image.

it is set for movie export...

file>export>movie

then select animated gif from the drop down box.
