Hello guys. I have a problem on my hands. I have an awesome idea for a RHG, weapon designs, quirks, all of that guuuuud stuff. My problem is that i suck at flash animating. I can animate a stick figure in flash, but it looks weird, floppy, and uneven sometimes. To counteract this, im amazing at making animations with pivot 4, even with the fps at 35. My question is: should i make the RHG in pivot, where it looks good, but different from others, or continue practice with flash, and make one with flash later on.

I think that you should post character appearance made with pivot first, then try to make a good looking stick in flash after you get better in it. About the weapons and all the guuuuud stuff. Try to ask for some help, that's all what I can tell you.

Macromedia Flash 8
Harder, but better because you can draw your own background, separate stuffs with layers and you can do almost all things you want to Flash, like make a game (shooting? maze?). Although you need to buy the program, it's not really expensive, if you're rich enough to buy it, then go on.

Pivot
Easier, you can make your own sticks with the create tool, but effects are hard if you use Pivot, you can download stks HERE if you're lazy enough to make an object. Pivot is free and fun to use if you're a beginner.

I prefer you use Pivot before stepping to Flash. But if you really want to practice in using Flash then use it until you can make a demo for your RHG. But for me, use Pivot first.

You could try Creative's method of animating for a pseudo-pivot feel.

Well If you used the Brush tool On flash your character would look really wierd If you didn't use a Good zooming level and smoothness ! Try Te line tool first the shape of the stick well be the same and his parts will be straight not like the brush !
anyway there are a lot of Rhg of Pivot users So Just do it !

Practice on flash and pivot. It took a year to get better at animating on flash with a fricken mouse, but it's worth it. Plus, I used pivot before i got flash, so I practiced animating on there.

I would practice with flash and ditch Pivot.
