If it's in the middle of the song, you can't really do it unless you edit it in a different program (Audacity, for example).

You can't really cut out portions of sounds in Flash, anyway. You can only mute those portions.

To do this, you click on the bar that says "Effect".

Then you edit the volume by dragging the lines down to the bottom.

Well because for about the first 7 seconds of the song I want to put it, there is no sound. So I just wanna cut it out.

I don't think you can actually cut it out. The only way I know of is the way I showed you, and all that does is mute a desired part of the song.

When I want to cut out parts of songs, I do a slow clunky way.

I get an MP3 recorder, and record the song with the part cut out.

Or I record two files, which cover the song except for a part in the middle.

2-D's way is better though.

You could put the credits or shit at the start of your movie to fill it up until the song starts..

I know. That's what I use but if NTG doesn't want to use it then at least he has other options.

Or if you're a lazy schmuck, set it to stream and use a gotoAndPlay action to just skip that part of the song.

2-D's way is better though.

what i do is i open windows movie maker, import the song, edit it, save it then add it to flash (every pc has it)
