The duty to retreat law means that if some nigger broke into your house, the homeowner needs to leave the house, and can only use self-defense if the nigger comes after him, or else he faces felony charges of attempted deadly assault.

Can someone tell me why our country is run by ****ing hippie-liberal-douches again and why we can't ****ing defend ourselves from an intruder unless we want to go to jail for murder? (By 'ourselves' I mean New Yorkers, I know that it's enforced in a lot of other states but not which ones.)

I mean, really, some Mexican in NY or California(Also a ****ing pussy-liberal-douche state) broke into a house, got shot, left the house, pressed charges on the homeowner and won.

God damn I ****ing hate America. I always laugh when you British and Australian people consistently say that all Americans are gunnuts and shit, when all Americans are actually afraid to ****ing kill someone in their own house that might rape their wife to death.

I live in California in a mostly Mexican neighborhood.
4 years ago a guy 3 streets down shot one of 4 kids who broke into his house at night and were making off with his stuff.
He shot the one kid who was 16 with a 12ga something, the paper didn't say. Hit the kid in the hip and the other 3 took off and he fired another shot that missed.
He went to jail.
Yes, really.
Said he shot the kid in the hip on purpose to ruin his life, the whole spic family testified going "baww he ruined our son/brother/cousins life, hell never walk"
Bunch of spic organizations came up to my town and were protesting saying he was a cruel racist who tried to murder and maim poor young boys who meant no harm.
I think he did something like 8 or 12 months.

Well, I reckon you should have a right to defend yourself, but only to the extent where the person leaves, not to the point where you murder/paralyze them.

In Australia, if there's someone in your yard, and you've given 10 seconds warning, anything you do that proceeds that 10 seconds is nice and legal.

I don't quite get it, is that "getting out of the house and doing nothing" part really part of the law? Because if it is, screw it. If not, this makes somewhat more sense, as in you catch the nigger in your house and ask him what the shit he's doing, if he tries to run away, stop him and if he assaults you, defend your ass.
