Yes, I like that idea. Timed elements will definitely be part of the game. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

In other news, I'm finally on break, so with any luck we'll be seeing some Dejeweled updates before the end of the year. :p

those games use a ragdoll physics engine to do everything, the water flowing, the thunder exploding, even the players running around.

They're called 'physics-based' games, not 'ragdoll' games. there IS a difference you know.

Lol axcho you should probably get rid of that timer in your sig. It's been like 8 months since that was accurate. And will the guy have AI (as in run away from giant rock, or walk around)? or will he just be standing there, waiting to be brutally murdered?

I think he's just standing there, the aim is to kill him as brutally as possible to earn the most points.

Although, watching him struggle WOULD be entertaining.

a part of me agrees, but if someone else had the idea, they could look at this thred. how do u program the ragdoll physics in the game using game maker 7?

He had real stuff going on until it came to making the game engine prototype. It was originally supposed to take 3 weeks to make. It's been stretched to 8 or 9 months now
