Using Windows 7 at the moment. Also decided to download Fences for my desktop. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the program.

Yeah, the screenshot's a bit old.

Win 8 is another vista imo don't bother getting it.
Even most Win8 pcs are terrible b/c they sell them without touchscreens'
and Win 8 without touchscreen just isn't worth it

Nup, Windows 8 is Fast, Fluid, Beautiful. I don't care about Touchscreen thingy, i really like the performance, so really fast..

I'm Currently using Windows 8.1 Preview, well there's so much improvement. Like Start Button, etc.

Win 8 is faster, then 7
but Vista is faster than XP
Toshiba sells a win 8 pc without touchscreen, even if the startbutton is back, i don't even use the start button, i use the start menu
my problem with 8 is that it thinks its a phone. The apps and start menu take up the entire screen all the time which is idiotic. The snap thing is terrible because windows are just more flexible
win 8 power + win 7 functionality = win 9
The performance gains is not worth the productivity loss.
I haven't run out of memory in 8 years, till i got a windows 8 pc
it ran out of memory when chrome and microsoft word was open

Start Menu > Start Screen
Start Menu != Start button

also why does the vast majority of win8 apps scroll side to side. That's only useful w/ a touch screen and even then its only intuitive on a phone or tablet.

God Microsoft makes me sick

Windows 8 looks terrible. As has been said, it's another vista (and another windows NT before that...); a shitty experimental OS that windows releases to get everyone's money and feedback, before they rework it, fix it up, and release a proper version shortly afterwards (windows 7, windows XP). I'm not falling for that shit.

Also, it's pretty much a media/tablet OS. i'm on a desktop, i hate touch screens, and i barely use media at all. fuck that,

Windows Vista.

I use the Classic Theme because I'm just that type of person.

(also you might want to check out this guy's review of Windows 8, there are some really good points in there)

7 actually runs better on Vista computers b/c they took vista code and made it less retarded

that being said Win 8 is terrible if your not a media user and I mean media user as someone who uses there PC as though it was a smartphone
Although Office 2013 is fucking Amazing, it doesn't even ship with Win8; you also have to buy the wmp APP from the Microsoft store. The only ppl actually producing metro apps are Microsoft anyway, its all a scam
say I want to view a picture:
Win 7: will open in editing program or preview menu which only take a couple of seconds
Win 8: will load up the pictures app which takes FUCKING forever, or if its not closed will load it basically instantly, but here is the kicker, regardless of what you're doing, it stops everything and goes full screen filling your entire screen with this picture, regardless of its size blowing it up to fit the screen even if its 150 by 150 which is absolutely foolish.
Win 8 is fast, but its only good for looking at and maybe listening to stuff.
Win 7 is for actually doing things.

Windows 7, it is by far the most stable version (and good-looking, too; better than W8 IMO)
