I just saw World War Z and I must say, it's the best "zombie" movie I've seen so far. The story, action, suspense and fresh content got my attention from the first second of the movie, I'll go into details now.

DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THE MOVIE

I've watched resident evil, the walking dead, 28 days later, and several other zombie's movies and series, but what got my attention and interest in this movie were the following points.

1) How fast you turn into a zombie: Unlike RE, or the walking dead, this movie has by far the fastest process of "zombiefication" (just invented that), after get bitten, you just have 12 seconds to say goodbye to this world, this fact increases the amount of chaos and desperation in the movie AND the whole cinema

2) The "Zombies": Man... the violence of their behavior was damn scary, this is the fresh content I'm talking about, in this movie you see things that you've NEVER seen in any other zombie movies, the way that a crap ton of zombies behave in the second they hear some fresh human body is extremely violent, you can see that they just want to grab something and torn it apart no matter what, is way more difficult to kill them, apparently they're faster and stronger than a normal human being, and combinated to the fact that it only takes 12 seconds to turn into a zombie, it makes you pay attention to everything in the whole movie.

3) The story: Yeah, personally I liked it. Is not the typical cliche story of a guy trying to find a cure and stuff. Franqly you don't know what will happen; due to the fast "zombification", a vaccine or a cure seems ridiculous, you would have to be next to your bitten friend with a vaccine in your hand to stop him from turning. So what's the solution to this??, you simply don't know, the whole movie gives you clues to find out a possible "solution" to this armageddon, and it was amazing when I realized that the info compiled through the whole movie helps you to find out the answer.

That's my take on the movie. What do you guys think?.

World War Z (Click to Show)

The story was a bit of a cliff-hanger for me but it was okay. The fact that they gave clues to how they could find a way to help themselves was a plus for me.

Overall, the movie was okay. It seems more of a prequel for the book it came from. World War Z is amazing in both book and movie, I really recommend them both.

Actually, only that one guy (forgot his name) saw him turn in 12. Some of the other people said they saw them turn in about 1 or 5 minutes.

I liked some of the suspension and unexpected scenes and I liked the movie overall :3
It's just...you STOP a disease, by getting a disease. That's a bit wierd but I guess it's okay

Is not weird is actually really logical, a virus needs a healthy body to infect, and if your is already infected, why would you "infect it" again?.

And actually, it depends on the country, most of whole america had his "zombification" time in 12 seconds. Only in south korea were cases with 5-10 minutes of conversion.

It's not the best nor the worst. But, this movie got my back hairs all high up. It was fast-paced, anticipating, violent, and my god was it hard to keep yourself from getting off of your seat. The whole thing about a vaccine was pretty brilliant because.... Well, how Cami said in her post : You're gonna need to risk yourself to be next to another zombie. But instead, they used other deadly viruses/diseases to repel against the parasite. Pretty creative.

And by god, those zombies are buffed as HELL. I mean, DID YOU SEE HOW THEY JUST TACKLED OTHER PEOPLE. IT'S LIKE "BAM", RIGHT IN THE GUT. It's like American football, but more brutal and without the gear. e-e

Now this doesn't beat the other movie : 28 Weeks Later, in my opinion. The movie was a lot more dramatic and also has that realistic story. They never found the cure, the disease continues to spread, the whole family dies, and etc. It's left at the point where the zombie horde gets into France.
