Breaking in to houses with locked doors is not okay, because the intention of locks is to indicate an area you do not wish someone to enter. Killing horses right now I think is a bad thing, because they're supposed to be property like animals and should be treated the same way. I want to get some sort of protection system for that but haven't had the time for it.

I realize you guys just had some sort of dumb shitfit, but I've received multiple conflicting reports and what appears to be some SERIOUS one-sided stories, and I don't have the ability to verify any of it for now so I'm leaving those involved banned until I can see what happened. We had another user like this before who would only do that shit when provoked, so I have serious doubts that "this asshole came on and just started killing and griefing us and we didn't do a thing!!!" is accurate.

Well, he didn't just come out and randomly kill everyone. I was exploring a stronghold with Loopy when we found an End portal and that's when he showed up and killed us. Maybe it was because the stronghold was close to his town and he didn't want us in it or something. But anways, after that he just started tracking every one of us down and repeatedly killed us.

So like chewy said, him and I were exploring a stronghold and he came and killed us, and ik pvp is allowed but I called him a dick, which is prolly what provoked him. Then amf came in and a "u mad QQ?" kinda fight started, so that went on and he got more pissed, so he came up and started killing us, after that he broke into my house around the door and I said he couldn't do that, so he stopped spawn killing me in my house as long as I didn't leave. He left me alone for awhile but I'm pretty sure he ended up having a battle with chewy, not entirely sure, but something happened and he came up and started killing horses. (idk all the details of who did what at this point) so then frank's, phil's, and my horse got killed, and at that point he started just straight up griefing, but not that much, just some floor, wall, destroying bed. Idk about other houses. Then I'm pretty sure another umad fight started but I wasn't paying attention to chat, then everyone got banned.

ALSO, you guys broke past the locked doors in the stronghold. dat's my stronghold, and i locked those doors for a reason, it's my portal! it's practically a part of my house/mine. maybe we can work something out where we can all work together to activate it and kill the dragon, but the way i see it now is that i found it first so it's mine!

Oh i'm sorry I had no idea that was your stronghold, I just assumed the doors were locked cause the stronghold had it that way, i've got some books if you'd like them back

also, I didn't kill any horses, as far as I know red killed my, phil's, and frank's horses, idk about yours

haha, you can have the books i already took what i needed. i just locked the doors around the end portal so that someone like daikaiju wouldn't just kill the dragon like 2 days after the server is up. and since i found it first, i wanted to make sure i'm a part of killing the dragon!!

anyway from what i heard, it was that matthisj guy who ended up killing our horses. i'm sorry that Red guy killed your guys' horses. if he's gonna keep griefing shit like that then i'm not gonna let him build in my town!

Here's what the logs show:

Event: Loopy and Chewy broke in to Kyrole's stronghold.
Verdict: This is bad because despite possibly not knowing it was Kyrole's, Loopy acknowledged that the doors were locked, yet you guys continued to break around them. You cannot rely on a rule to vindicate yourselves that your are also guilty of breaking. You've both been around long enough to know this, and the fact that you cite this to me as a reason for Red being banned shows you understand it yet selectively choose to ignore it.

Event: Red for some reason (this is sort of irrelevant, though I don't see how he could have known it was Kyrole's stronghold) tracked down both Loopy and Chewy, killed them both and took their shit.
Verdict: PVP is allowed. We go over this at LEAST once every time I have a server up, but you not only need to worry about monsters, you need to worry about other players. If you all live in peace, then that's great, but don't expect that mutual respect to be shared by everyone. The way people play Minecraft is very self-centered, and being on your own if you're not powerful enough can mean certain death. You should band together and help each other from potential bandits like Red who would rather kill you and take your stuff than mine.

Event: Loopy and Chewy get pissed and words are exchanged. Amfco4 decides then would be a good time to act like a 10-year-old by spamming the chat with dumb childish insults. Despite the constant implication that Red is "mad" from everyone, he doesn't appear to actually be acting out of anger, just malice. He then silences Amfco4 by killing him, causing Amfco4 to further provoke him like an idiot.
Verdict: While PVP is allowed, spawn killing over and over I think should be considered griefing, because at that point there's no reason for it. However, in this case Amfco4 provoking Red likely just fanned the flames, causing Red to do worse than he would have. YOU gave him a reason for it, thus the blame comes to you, and not Red. Spawnkilling and spamming in this instance are what is wrong, the words you used are also shitty but I wouldn't say they'd be against any rules.

Event: Red breaks the wall on the right side of Loopy's house to get in. Loopy informs him this is against the rules. Red leaves.
Verdict: Red, unlike Loopy and Chewy, is new to the server and has no real idea that this would be against the rules. While I believe it's obvious and think that anyone with half a brain would know, usually the first offense or two I let slide. Because he backed down according to Loopy and my logs, I don't think I'm going to fault him in this instance. Being antagonized is likely why he did this in the first place.

Event: Red visits Chewy and murders him again. Then he does some weird shit where he lights the ground on fire and then puts it out. He might have been burning the items that chewy dropped, but this lead to the entire wood house catching fire. I don't know if he did it intentionally.
Verdict: PVP is still allowed, and so it burning items on the ground if you really want to be an asshole. They are his victory spoils. However burning down the house was an act either malicious or completely dumb. When he initially complained he said it was an accident, but at the same time he appears to be trying to piss people off so I don't know. I'm going to go with bad on this, but at the same time I acknowledge that he probably didn't intend it.

Event: Before Red burned down Chewy's house, Chewy decides for some reason to pay a visit to the stables in Kyrole's village, breaks in to them and kills both horses. He then informs Red of the act, and Red states that Chewy just killed two horses that weren't related to him.
Verdict: Red is right. Red joined earlier that day, the horses in the stables were Kyrole's and Maxmonster's. Red, as far as I can tell, wasn't a part of any village or any alliance. Not only was killing the horses pointless, but breaking in to the stables to do it was very clearly against the rules, the same rules that Chewy is trying to use to defend himself. This act could have caused Red to further shitstorm or whatever, I don't know. All I know is that Chewy at this point griefed, which set off the chain of events that lead to further griefing.

Event: Red kills horses and iron golems at Chewy's and Phil's place.
Verdict: At this point it's just childish tit-for-tat retaliation. I don't blame Red for this, I blame Chewy.

Event: Red breaks in to loopy's to further spawnkill. EvilTorchic joins and simply antagonizes Red further. Red kills everyone always.
Verdict: This is just the end result of poor choice of words and actions on everyone's part.

Event: I ban the shit out of all parties.
Verdict: Fuck you all.

Conclusion: You're all guilty of breaking rules and being assholes. Playing the victims and blaming this one guy is ridiculous, and as far as I'm concerned you should all remain banned so I don't have to deal with this dumb shit again. Further, I discovered side evidence that Loopy's friends were breaking in to Frank's place and stealing from his chests. Seriously? Open chests are okay to steal from but not when they're in a protected building.

The result of this will be up to you guys: either you all stay banned or I unban you all after a day or so, and you either make up or never speak of this again.

hopefully unban them so i have people to play with! make it a point that while pvp is allowed, you shouldn't be spawn killing. like you said, it's pointless because they can't fight back and they have no items you can steal.

alrighty I agree with what you said, and what you do is up to you, i'm for making up and not talking about it. As for the chests in frank's house, Frank's been cool before with me staying in his house at night when my house wasn't finished, my friend took some crap from his one unlocked chest but i made him put it back, except a saddle which he took, when he was done I went and put it back in frank's chest so nothing is missing I don't think

I apologize for killing those two horses purely out of retaliation, it was stupid. I would've given you my horses if Red didn't kill them all off. But anyways, all he really did was burn my main house which isn't that big of a deal to me, the rest of my place is still good.
