Well, It's very choppy, the stick keeps resizing a bit, and It's wobbly...

You should use a guideline to help you for the resizing problem, Watch some tutorials on easing and it'll look fine. Also, if you're having troubles using the brush tool, try using Line.

Anyway, keep on practicing dude! P.S. A word of advice on easing: Whenever you animate, animate it like it's in slow-motion...so when you play it, It won't be choppy. Also, be patient and wait for someone to Critic you on your animation.

edit -

Holy shit, I didn't know this was on General Forums...Didn't noticed...Anyway dude, Don't post here. Post your animations at Community Animations section.

Well, firstly this goes in community animations section. The character is kinda just flopping around everywhere, he should actually walk/ run whatever, or jump around in some parkour frenzy. Whatever you like. Just don't make him flop up the stairs, it looks weird. He can climb, walk, or run up them, unless he's stumbling. Heck, he(it?) can fly through the roof for all I care, but, the ragdoll thing is just odd. Anyway, moving on, the kicking, especially the last one, there has to be a nice buildup (anticipation) where you ease in, then, the foot rapidly swings over there and eases out (follow through).

Here's a nice picture of a front snap kick: Image

And for something more of front push kick watch this "This is Sparta" video (seriously watch it, it's a good moving example):

Start at about 3:49

This thread belongs in the Community Animations section. Remember to post your animation there next time.

Anyways, your animation seems a bit choppy. Try not to rush through it and be sure to make it's movements smooth and eased. And his kick in the end kind of looked more like a jump, so try to make his kicking stance a bit more natural, like these:

You also should've animated his crawl better. It looked like he was a snake or something lol

I would also suggest keeping your animations that are incomplete or didnt take long to do in the beginners thread until you know you can move on, save a thread for an animation you took a while to do until then.

You might wanna calm down and not call new users schmucks because, well, they're new. Anyway screw the sentimental crap, moving on.

Dude, STEADZ, You should do things they way they should be done (most of the time). Otherwise, you risk sparking the rage of Hewitt and others. Trust me it ain't pretty (he's a magical mod).

Reporting people isn't always the best way to help people learn their mistakes. He's new. Show him a little respect and try not to make him feel bad. Everyone makes mistakes, ya know.

What kind of MOD are you Hewitt?

"Teach the person to be right;
If they don't. Let it be"

(this isn't the correct one..)

First off I was talking to the non-reporters. But if I offended Staedz by calling him a schmuck then I'm sorry for that...

I'm sorry I called you a schmuck. Just don't post in the wrong section again.

Secondly. Uhh no, reporting people is the ideal method because if you don't report them, then all you're doing is spamming the thread yourself. Don't act all high and mighty just because you think it appears unfair.

Infractions help stem the flow of offenses because they're reminders that an action equals an opposite reaction. It's natural for newbies to get infracted because you know they'll never do that again. The only people who don't get it and don't learrn their lesson after the first two infractions are idiots who are probably too young to participate in this forum in the first place. The only exception is if you post in the SE Section (yeah, I went there) or...

...you're this guy. He's been infracted countless times by a United Nations of Mods: Camila, Kite, Luzoto, you name it. Ask most mods and they will know this guy's name. They just didn't have the power to ban and so I had to do that when I came back. And now HE thinks I'm his worst nightmare and at every turn, he has chosen to attack me for the most pitiful of reasons, here, and in every thread I've posted (such as my own Rate the User thread). I bet he doesn't even realize that harrassing and insulting mods is infractible in itself. And when I infract him for it, he will ride the ban out and annoy me AGAIN.

I've given you a chance harvie, butthurt or not. I've turned a blind eye to your silent jabs at me. But if you're going to make this personal then I'm going to perma-ban you for it. Let this infraction serve as your final warning.

PS. Molgera, if you wish to discuss this further, let's take it to the PMs

You seem to have some delusions as to the power of a post report. You're acting like it's an automatic infraction.

No. Just no.

The report function sends the moderators a notification about the post you're reporting, and gives you the opportunity to fill in a reason. Something is posted in the wrong section? Report it. Reason: "Wrong section". Then the post gets moved as soon as moderator is online, instead of when a mod stumbles upon the thread after you've complained about it for a while.

Don't try and be a fucking white knight for the new members, if they've done something wrong you fucking report it. If it's a minor or first offence, they're not going to get an infraction for it, they'll get told off and learn what not to do next time. If a mod tells you to do something, it's probably because they have taken something in to consideration that you haven't. Don't question things you don't understand.

[EDIT] oh, and to the maker of the thread, here's a tip to be a better animator: spend more time on your animations. one hour (half an hour?) is nowhere near enough time to make something good unless you're an experienced animator doing speedbattles (and you are neither experienced or doing a speedbattle).

like, you have to actually put both time and effort in, if you want to be capable of producing something great.
