"You there! Get up!" Someone shouts. The words echo inside my head, pounding like drums; ricocheting like bullets. I can't see anything, which scared me stiff. "Get up!" The male voice shouts again.
"Watch your side.." I hear suddenly, not from someone else, but from someone within.
I rolled to the right, only to get nailed by a steel toed boot in my side.
"Other side..."
Someone lifts me up, and I mean really lifts me. This can't be good, I thought. And it wasn't. I was hurled into a wall, about ten feet away. I felt a bone break, and my head began to throb.
"No sense in telling him to get up only to beat him down again Clyde." A female voice says. My head began throbbing harder, with an increasing tempo and force.
"Shut the hell up, I'm going to kill this bastard." The male voice said angrily. Dimly, I figured that I was probably the bastard. More throbbing. I couldn't figure out what was making my vision black. I heard footsteps, very heavy ones, coming towards me. Heavy throbbing. A hand grabbed the back of my neck.
Suddenly, I heard a chocking noise, followed by a high pitched gasp from the girl. I realized I was standing fully erect, with something held very tightly in my outstretched hand. I felt and heard a crunch. No more gasping. A door slams, echoing around the room for a second. Because of that, I couldn't pinpoint where it was. Thankfully, the lights came on, and I was able to see my handy-work.
My assailant was dead. His trachea had been crushed; crushed by my hand. That's when I saw how he had been able to 'see' when I could not. He had no eyes. He must have had incredible echolocation. I tried to remember how I'd gotten here, but I couldn't remember anything past fifty seconds ago.
I headed for the door, ready to meet whatever was on the other side....
