I don't get what you mean by the first bit, but they aren't using shinobi 1. A Shadowrath masser without Shinobi 2 is like toast without butter. Not very good.

If they have a full 20 ninjas, I should have a reasonable number of medusas accompanied with a few other units. If not, then my early-game must have been horrific. If I can find my replay against SGC I'll post it so you can see what I do. Also, the awards are for masters, not massters.

They can have 20 ninjas but you just have 16 medusas
Enough to instant-kill 10 medusas and within 30 sec they can finish the rest

I couldn't find my replay with SGC, so I suppose I'll explain. The point isn't for an offensive strike. You hold your medusas in garrison, similar to heronww. Your eclipsors fly to the center tower and attempt to hold it against whatever other units the enemy has. They will be forced to either attack or retreat. Assuming you have your medusas fresh for killing and a weak defense, they must charge. If they don't charge, kill them all by pressuring behind towerspawn. If they try to buy archers/albows, the passive regen renders their petty attacks useless. Assuming they do attack, let your towerspawn continue to bully the opposition's castle. Move your eclipsors back to base in an attempt to 'pursue' the assailing Ninjas. Leave 1-2 Medusa at base. When they come and attack, try to stone face them and get off acid flux. Acid flux is very important to this skirmishes' outcome. It essentially determines whether or not they will be able to defend against an onslaught later in the game. When they begin to attack your statue, send out a few more medusas. Stone face them and head back in. If they go into a cloak, after it wears off, send them all out and stone most of them. They'll probably retreat about now with 7-8 Ninjas left- still enough to seriously hinder you. But they had been poisoned earlier, so they are weak now. Have your eclipsors attack them evenly and they will all die before they get to garrison. If they go for a meric, your towerspawn will kill it. This strategy works 95% of the time. The other 5% is if they don't charge, which means they can't win. Best-case scenario you win. Worst-case scenario, you get bored and kill yourself with a futile attack.
This is incredibly overpowered on Deathmatch and is very hard to stop.
