Absurdly accurate personality typology!

In the enneagram system, there are 9 personality types (as well as blends of types that are next to each other).

Take the "Classical enneagram test" here to find out which you are:
http://www.eclecticenergies.com/enneagram/test.php

My result was a type 9 with a 1 wing. This means that my personality type is type 9 (the Peacemaker), but I also take on traits from the type 1 (the Reformer) group.

Once you have your type, read about it on this website (which has significantly better and more detailed descriptions than the above website with the test):
http://www.enneagraminstitute.com/descript.asp#.Ueeq8m03nn8

Not only does it give you a very accurate description of your personality, but also tells you which direction you should strive to move towards to further yourself (for me, I should move towards point 3; that is, I should aim to be more of an achiever, because laziness and refusal to act is my biggest downfall) towards perfection/enlightenment, and what direction you should avoid moving towards, to avoid stress, leading to depression and insanity (i should move away from point 6; that is, away from being too much of a loyalist - because I already put too much energy into trying to keep everyone happy).

Also given is "more depth by level", which describes changes in your personality according to how healthy your mental state is. More info on levels here: http://www.enneagraminstitute.com/DevelopmentLevels.asp#.Ueeub203nn8

They've thrown in some more specific suggestions for personal development for each type also: http://www.enneagraminstitute.com/personalgrowth.asp#.UeevUW03nn9

And for the spiritually inclined, they've also added the detail of describing what enlightenment will be for each personality type, and provides suggestions as to meditative techniques that would be ideal for each type. My technique is "self-remembering"... which happens to be the technique I had already settled on before I even found out about the enneagram. More info on that here: http://www.enneagraminstitute.com/spirituality.asp#.UeeuoG03nn8

Fascinating stuff, most accurate and detailed personality typology I've ever encountered.

Hm..I'm a peace-maker, then loyalist and individualist (Which I think I am).

Uh...This means what? I'm Type 9 with traits of 8? (Or 1)

4w5, I suppose it´s true.

The challenge to Fives is to understand that they can pursue whatever questions or problems spark their imaginations and maintain relationships, take proper care of themselves, and do all of the things that are the hallmarks of a healthy life. /quote from website

I remember this. Well I'm still a 9w1 which is nice.
The reading was interesting but I gave up right before 'personal growth', way to much reading for this late at night. But I look forward to checking out that last link.

The highest scoring ones are the ones I'm closest to.

I guess its fairly accurate.

5 - Investigator: (Perceptive, Innovative, Secretive, and Isolated) Want to possess knowledge, to understand the environment, to have everything figured out as a way of defending the self from threats from the environment.

6 - Loyalist: (Engaging, Responsible, Anxious, and Suspicious) Want to have security, to feel supported by others, to have certitude and reassurance, to test the attitudes of others toward them, to fight against anxiety and insecurity.

Personally think I'm more of a 6.

I got 9, which seems legit and alright. I screwed up on the vote, however.

I'm just glad it isn't one of those cheap facebook-esque surveys that don't tell you shit.

you could try and guess which is more likely to be your primary type by looking carefully at the "more depth by level" section?

Looks like we have a lot in common after all.
I know I'm a bit arrogant, but after reading the level descriptions of The individualist and The Investigator I find myself most similar to Level 3 individualist.

Highly personal, individualistic, "true to self." Self-revealing, emotionally honest, humane. Ironic view of self and life: can be serious and funny, vulnerable and emotionally strong.

Highly personal, I interpret this as not being too shallow towards other persons (caring more for the person rather than it's appearance).
emotionally honest is also a thing that is true about me, when I have emotions I don't hide them. This make me vulnerable and pretty emotionally strong. I tend to be a drama queen sometimes..

The wing 5 would be the 'gathering of skills'. I have almost attended every sport and played every instrument.
For example, last year I was into guitar and Hockey. Now I'm kickboxing and playing the harmonica.
