Maybe the miners should have a rally point difference. Let's take an example, hotkeys. I press Z for gold-mining miners while V for praying miners.

maybe they could make it so it shows how many on gold and mana, and you can change it if you have enough miners. of course, you can also do manual.

I always wanted a toggle gold/mana button somewhere on the screen. If its set on gold then any new coming miners would instantly mine gold. setting it on mana does the opposite. You could toggle it without having to scroll, as its already on your screen/menu.

Or you could just take the side that says that those who can/do micro their miners better should get an advantage.

Too many times early game have I taken my eyes off my units at the center for just a single second to set my new miner, and they get attacked at the tower and lose without my micro.

I would agree with auto-setting miners to gold or mana.

It should be about that decision on the focus between your army and your economy; do you put your attention on your micro to gain the mid tower, or do you focus your attention on your miners to get the better economy, or do you take the huge risk and multitask on both?

The game is about knowing to focus on what on when. The miners shouldn't be able to auto-mine; what would be the point of the game then?

Miners don't need auto mine/pray. Just time your camera movements better.

If your too busy with micro, don't buy archers or nagikill. Unless you really need to, but seriously, nobody NEEDS auto miner.

Okay, Maybe auto mining/praying will make micro managing a noobs game. So lets take it a step back. Some people just want to speed up the setting up process.

On the gold icon add a number stating how many miners are mining gold.
& on the manna icon add a number stating how many miners are gathering manna.

A split between the two. Doesn't make micro easier for noobs and makes mining slightly simpler.
