If you have a really well done animation, then it has the opportunity to get sponsored on the front of the website. Stickpage then pays you money for your animation and you essentially give up rights to it as it goes on the front page. Of course, you get credit for the animation and everything but overall, Stickpage can publish your animation anywhere and do anything with it.
Pretty cool deal to get payed for animating right!? (:
Edit*
The figures vary, but it's not an outstanding amount of money or anything. I mean, the only revenue that this website generates is pretty much from add space so we don't have a lot to just throw around. I think fifty to a hundred bucks would be a good estimate - even that seems rather high -, but I wouldn't quote me on it.

Nop. No topic or genre, just don't use bad words (curses), and it must be as good as the ones you see on the frontpage.
If you're done, just contact stone about it and he'll tell you if your anim is up for sponsor or not.

I'll explain how to get the sponsorship since I got the opportunity to get my music video sponsored.
First off, before you make a TON of progress on your animation that you want to sponsor, you would give a short or a decent snippet to an admin of the website. [ EG stone, CRAZY JAY, TheSaw, etc. ] You give them the background story on what it will be about. If it sounds interesting and may look like it will have that sponsor quality that they're expecting, they'll give you the green light and go ahead onto continuing the animation. To be sure on keeping that green light, you would give them progress on how your animation looks. As you do that, you will know that you're doing great. There will be some guidelines they will give you to follow. Once everything is done and it is at least over 2 minutes long, they will speculate how much you will get through PayPal. They'll give you the money, you give them the SWF, and they will release it on a Friday.

Yeah if you put a lot of effort into your animation, then you should ask stone if it's good for a sponsorship.

I'm assuming the length of an animation determines the amount you will be paid? Do variables like this as well as quality affect said payment? Also, can anyone give me a rough estimation of how much the average quality, 2 minute animation will get you paid?
Also, i understand swear words are forbidden. But what about violence in general? Is there a limitation on how gruesome or dark an animation can be? And finally, how lenient is CJ when it comes to music? No mainstream songs at all? I know Phil used a Nine inch nails song in Alfa vs Pulse so i'm not sure.
And yes, i have a lot of questions due to being away for a long ass time.
