First answer: To win an RHG, you must first challenge somebody at least at your skill level to fight. If the person accepts, you might either set up a due date or work until you and your opponent finish your battles. Once you and your opponent finishes, you or your opponent must set up a poll on the Battle Thread (must be a public vote) with links to yours and your opponents's battle entry. Those who have to most votes wins. Other ways to win fairly is if your opponent either forfeits or never finishes and somehow vanishes once the due date passed for a long time. In order to win a battle, you must learn the concept of Quality over Quantity = the finer, smoother, and exciting your battle is, the better chances that you'll win. Quantity can help, but if it's too long with bad animation and so forth, the more likely that you'll lose.
Second Answer: For the collabs, find some that are open. Joining a collab can help improve your skills, and can also show your animation skills to the public once the collaboration becomes successful. Joining a clan requires dedication and loyalty, if you want to join a clan, find one that has an open spot and follow the clan's tryout guidelines. If they like your tryout and accepts you, then you're now part of a clan, but if they don't like it, the chances of joining that specific clan is at a all-time low. Remember, you can only join one clan at a time, and nobody likes a clan hopper (people who joins a clan for a bit, then hops to another clan, and then hops to another, so on so forth). Clan hoppers aren't loyal to clans and only join clans just to show off or join for no reason but to hog a spot, which is a waste if the member doesn't do much. Clans do weeklies and occasional clan collabs, which they can not only help you improve, but to help build your clan's reputation and appeal. There also will be Clan Wars, which involves two clans warring each other through a certain reason; rivalry, sparring, conquest, etc.
