I'm encountering a very strange (what I assume to be) bug. If I press enter to watch my animation the frame directly after whatever frame is selected is played for seemingly twice as long as it should. This is also happening in an exported animation. After the play button is pressed it plays two frames, pauses on the second, then continues. Its minimal but its noticeable enough to mess up the flow of the animation quite a bit.

This has been really frustrating me for a week and I cant find anyone with a similar problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If any more info is needed just let me know.

Normally I would think it was just Flash trying to load the animation and lags a bit when it starts. Does it do the momentary lag when the flash repeats on the export?

Must be just the lag, It shouldn't lag when it's already published as a swf except if it's that laggy. Try exporting it and see if it lags. If it lags on all the files, it will really be a problem, get more memory for that :I

it could just be your computer. have you tried getting someone else to take a look, or looking at it on a different computer yourself?

My computer has plenty of power, and this only recently started happening. It is happening on export, and someone else I was talking to said he noticed it.

Even if I only have three frames with nothing on them it still holds up on the second frame. Even if it was lag, like you said, it shouldn't happen on export yet it still is. There's no scripting in the frames either.

So it lags on all fla you make? Try reinstalling the program. That's the thing I'll most likely do lol.

That's what I'm about to do. Ill edit this with results.

Edit: Absolutely no effect, still having the problem.

Edit2: The problem is now only happening with older flash files, not newer ones. Ill have to just transfer them over it seems.

Well, with that I think you solved your problem. Still don't know what the cause of it and there's a chance it may happen again tho.
Good luck, I guess :T

Its interesting that its linked to the flash files. I can only hope it doesn't happen again.

Edit: I found the source of the problem: Sound. I don't know why, but this is the problem

Edit2: I narrowed it down even further: It has to do when the sound is set to "stream"
It would be great to find a way to fix this since It would prove very hard to lip sync without streaming sound.

You should post a swf on here and see if we notice the lag. If we don't, then it's just your computer's incapability to run multiple sequences. Because if sound is on stream that means the computer has to load both the video and audio in sync, which is hard for older models.

This happens to me all the time.
The animation shouldn't lag when it's in a swf file. It just lags when you view it in a fla file because its processing a lot of stuff.

My computer should be powerful enough, I'm hoping there's a solution out there. I wouldn't mind, but it seems to do the same thing when I export it, that's what I don't understand.
