Ok before i get to the main topic of the thread i would like to note that you may disagree with what some people are saying in response to the thread. If that is the case, try not to keep things calm. You may, of course, reply with your response/ opinion, but this doesn't mean you're deffinatly right. LISTEN TO WHAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE SAYING.

So anyway, recently a game called Dragons crown was announced for the ps vita and ps3, it got reasonable scores on most sites. However on one site, Polygon, the reviewer gave it the score of 6. Now what the reviewer stated has caused a very large debate to spring into action on the net, she not only said that the game was extremly repetative, which it was, but the main source of the argument was that she disliked 2 of the characters in the game, the amazon and the witch/ female mage, she stated that the way they portrayed women was distracting and unacceptable. Her exact words were: Dragon's Crown's serious liberties with female anatomy are distracting. Two player characters — the Amazon and the Sorceress — are explicitly sexualized, with breasts literally bigger than their heads with rear ends to match, and plenty of the screen real estate is dedicated to their respective jiggles and sashays. But at least these characters are powerful women, with agency and a penchant for destroying rooms full of bad guys.

The same can't be said for the female NPCs that fill Dragon's Crown's dungeons and other environments. Most of the women in the game are barely clothed, with heaving chests, backs twisted into suggestive positions, some with their legs spread almost as wide as the screen. They're presented as helpless objects, usually in need of rescue. It's obvious, one-sided and gross.

Now this was only about a 5th of the review and infact a very small portain of it. However the reviewer has been scolded for stating out her opinion by the people of the internet for just this one section.

Now what i would like to know is; what is your opinion on this review. Do you think that the reviewer should have given the game a low score for its artwork? or that she was incorrect for giving this score?

- a critic review is by definition a subjective opinion piece
- the author has provided legitimate reasons to justify her opinion
- 6 is not even a very low score
- those boobs are unnecessarily and unrealistically huge and the only reason more women aren't offended by this is because they aren't likely to play this game to begin with. it's extremely obvious that the developers were aiming for sex appeal for their target (male) audience and it is perfectly reasonable for this to upset some people.
- the internet shouldn't care so much about one person's review for a game, especially given the above points

Yeah i personally think that it is ridiculas for someone to have such an angry response to someone elses opinion. she as a reviewer was rightful to her own view on the game.
