So between early 2012 and early 2013 I took a long hiatus. When I've come back, I've seen a lot of new faces among the old. I don't know all of you that well, so I thought this might be a good time to say a few things about yourself, specifically about how you guys came to Stickpage.

So what can you guys say?
You can say:
1. How you came to Stickpage (or Fluidanims if you started there)
2. Why you came to Stickpage and why you stayed
3. Why do you have the username you have now

Thought this would be a good time to get to know everyone and I'm curious to see what everyone's story's are.

I actually joined Stickpage because of stick animations. To be more precise, the Shock Series. I made an account here late 2010. At that time, I didn't participate at the forums. Rather, I joined a group called 'Nebula of Thoughts'. Then, I was really immature and stupid. Moreso then now. For unknown reasons, I left SP. Coming back to Stickpage late 2012, my objective as to coming back here is to changed to improving my skills as a Stick Empires player.

After staying at the SE Section for a period of time, I decided to explore the forums a bit more, something I didn't do during my last stay. Coincidentally, that was when Hewitt was elected as a moderator. Several spammy posts later, I got my very first (?) infraction from him. I was shocked, because I was never infracted before. Then, I began to change. Bit by bit. To becoming the _Ai_ I am right now.

Also, I started here as _Aiman_. The reason behind my name change is because of my friend, GamerXD8. He called me Ai as a short of Aiman, and I liked the name Ai more than Aiman. But, I couldnt put just Ai because you couldnt have a 2 word name, so I put in a pair of _'s, thus, _Ai_.

A brief history of me, anyone?

I came to FA originally because I was inspired to animate. I started out the idea for my RHG and registered for the forums. I took notice to the Writer's Lounge there and decided to stay. When I read about the merge several months later, some of the writers there had decided to move out instead of going to SP and create a little haven of our own which proved that we were so few. We switched sites for about two times until we settled on mastertopforums, it was lively for a time before everyone just went silent. Soon, I had heard a several writers had already moved to SP. I had made an account here when I had heard of the merge but it seemed a bit unwelcoming, so I lurked. I lost interest on both SP and mastertopforums soon afterwards.

During the last summer, I had decided to return to forums and start with SP. I found the Writer's Lounge again and felt a bit at home. From there I decided to branch out a bit, something I didn't do when I was at FA. I stayed because it seems better to have a forum to go to instead of none. Haha.

My username was originally going to be Syntax but someone in FA already had it. So I decided to go for 'Error' plus something else. I randomly browsed appliances and found 'Blender'.

I'm just the minority so I doubt anyone recognizes me. That's all there is to say.

I used to animate when I was in high school, and during that phase I lurked FA, SP and Newgrounds occasionally, but I always felt to busy to actually join any of the communities. Soon after, I moved out and bought a laptop that was so bad that I could barely run flash and I stopped animating but continued to to do traditional artwork as a hobby. Fast forward a year and I needed a better laptop for uni, and I decided I might as well buy a graphics tablet for my artwork and get back into animating. So I joined SP, and optimistically started a project and joined some collabs.

Unfortunately this was also the same time that the uni work load increased and I dropped animating and drawing. But even thought I had mostly lurked I really enjoyed the views and opinions of some of the more mature members, and lurking general discussion was a great way to pass time while on my two hour commute. So I stayed.

I'm also Youwishjellyfish because I really identified with jellyfish and how they just gently drifted with the currents, so it's how I signed my artworks since high school and it some how became my alias. I also expected people to shorted it to Jfish, but I suppose I never has enough of a presence for it to matter.

1- Started on fa in 2010. I love the fact of represent my crazy ideas on an animation, it got my attention after watching several animations and I stayed there.

2-FA merged, I had nothing better to do, so I moved to SP. I didn't like it the first months, people seemed so mean ._. Then I kinda grew up and learnt to take the jokes as what they are.

3- Is my real name..... some people thinks it sounds boyish.

How you came to Stickpage
Well, basically I first found out about Stickpage last 2011 (2 years ago from now). The first stick animation I ever saw was the Shock series. They inspired me in animating stuffs by using a program called "Pivot" but moved on to "Flash 8" after being an 8-month pivot user. On 2012 November 17-18. I searched on YouTube about how to make an "RHG" character because I saw a lot of RHG Battles videos everywhere (maybe). Soon I saw a video on how to make an RHG character and checked out the description, I saw a FluidAnims link and decided to check it and out make an RHG, when I was about to click "RHG" section (I don't remember), it suddenly redirected me into this Stickpage Forum, after for about a minute I decided to check this forums to see if there's an RHG section and bingo! I found it, I then quickly registered for an account and made an RHG.

Why you came to Stickpage and why I stayed.
When I first saw this forums, I wasn't interested in registering since it's going to waste my time but I saw a lot of users here and decided to have friends and someone to battle in RHG. There after I registered here in the forums, I met my first friend techmaru (who is now permanently banned) and I became a clan co-leader of his clan. Soon he admitted that the clan's dead and I decided to make my own clan (already a dead clan) named Retribution. Soon after it died and I was interested in staying here in SP as long as I can since this forum's awesome.

Why do I have the username I have now
Actually, I got this name from a movie I forgot which actually made me use it in every forums I joined. My real name's Franz Baroña (pronounced as Baronya), I was thinking on using my first name instead of this Lethal thing but I don't want it since it's kinda an ugly name lol. There I stayed in this Lethal name and enjoyed it using it c:

Before, I was supposed to join FA, I never understood how it worked. I don't know how to make a demo, I don't even know why the registration form wont accept my extremely poorly drawned noobish paint drawing of my character for the demo.
So, I just left for like, a year I guess. When the time I got addicted to Terkoiz, I made my profile pic in FB into FLLFFL. Then, suddenly, Fordz asked me if I was the owner of Alfa, hew was clearly excited and shocked. But I said no lol. Then, he introduced me to animating. While he was introducing me to flash (twas around November of 2012), I remembered a site named Fluidanims, and I tried to visit there, but it turns out it was already the stickpage forums. My mind was blown. Then, I asked Fordz where to get macromedia like, tons of times, and then he got pissed. I felt bad, but he understood me that I am still a newb. Around December, I discovered that my best friend was animator. I though he was a newb, lol. Turns out, he is awesum. My bestfriend is TheMultiGigaBowser, can someone recall him? Anyhow, Fordz and TheMultiGigaBowser is the reason why I joined stickpage. They introduced me in there. I wasn't giving a fuck to Terkoiz and those famous animators, but still, they inspired me.

I came to SP to play games (before lol). And when I came here, you know you all people know that I was an annoying guy. I stayed here to make new friends, to join collabs and improve my skills in animating and writing. I loved the forums, it is full of awesum people.

Why do I have this username? When Fordz told me about RHG, I decided to make one. Turns out my own characters (before Guitarii was born) were overpowered. When I was having a summer class in guitar, I think there was a time where I acted like I was smashing my guitar. And then, I thought of Guitarii. The originality of this was supposed to be only from the word Guitar added with two I's, turns out people think that it came from the word Guitarist. I can't think of any username, so yeah. Just used my RHG.

Stickpage? Games and animations. Pretty good quality. But never bother to visit the forum. Until Stick Empires came out. That's when I decided to make an account here. And so, I've stumbled upon the wonderful SP community. And writing. Can't believe an online game led me to take up writing. :/

Found the forum for the first time and intrigued by the content, so I decided to make an acc here. Hanging out in Stick Empires section until I participated in a writing contest there. It created an interest in writing for me. Saw Writer's Lounge and... A brand new home.

Name? Gamer. Self-explanatory. I like the letter X and number 8, which also means Megaman X8. I like to XD, so...my name was born.

1. Stick Empires. I just played games in Armor Games, when I see the game. I'm interested for the online, that's why I joined here. Forum really pays off.

2. I stayed.....because I wanted to play SE with friends from the web. Also, I have a tendency create something, so I created an SE fanfic. I hear some good responses, then I make my own wRHG from the inspirations of souls and dragons. And also I wanted to finish Arvine's story line (And there is too many characters on my head). That's why I stay here. The other reason is because it's fun in the forum.

3. I don't know. I invented it? Probably because I'm looking for a name for my character for an RPG game, and I thought, Triss is a pretty good name. Althogh then I realized it wasn't original (duh) and it's a name of sorceress (this I don't expect).

I started in StickPage early 2010. I was looking for stickman games, and I found it here. I played the games for a while, and then about May 2010, I decided to finally check out the forums. It seemed fun, so I went in the general discussion and got started in the chat thread.

I got my first infraction in about ten minutes. I was a spammy little guy and I did get infracted a lot, although I did have some good works, maybe two. My two main places were in general discussion and writers lounge. Then, in late 2011, I took a leave for personal and no computer reasons. I almost totally forgot about the place.
Then, a few months ago, I was just sitting on my phone and a thought crossed my mind about this place. I decided to check it out and see how it was doing. Then I decided to settle down, make a wRHG and try to be around all places in the forums. Although, my account was deleted in some reset (Yes, like firefly's), so I had to make another.

Now my name, ha. Originally in 2010 my name was godlystickman (I was like 11 okay?). Then, eventually after hearing many people calling me Boomerang because I always came back, well that was my name change. So, for my new account, I thought it'd be cool to put BoomerangReturns. I didn't even realize the funniness to it until after.

And that's it, my story.

I've been lurking around since late 2008/early 2009, and I made an account this year because I dubbed myself "old enough" to use these forums, as I'm 14 now. I was intrigued by forums in general, and StickPage was the first one I ever saw. Ever. I found it because I was really interested by the concept of animation, and also by stickfigures. I got my first computer in early 2008, from e-bay running Windows Me. I was bored with it within seconds of turning it on. About a month later, I got the internet, because ofc my parents needed it. They had Windows Vista. I got my computer out of my closet, turned it on and secretely connected it up. The first thing I searched up on google was "stickfigure fight videoss" (Yes, I even remember the typo. I'm an absolute computer geek now.) I clicked on what WAS the first link and I was brought to stickpage. Amazing site, I was obsessed with it. All I could think of at school was going on stickpage and playing games. Eventually I got bored, so I began to explore stickpage more. I wanted to make content of my own for stickpage, so while I was looking for a how-to on it, I came across a link to the forums and from there on out lurked the forums, account-free. Stickpage, other than google and my search, was the first site I ever visited outside of school or my parents making me do educational stuffs on their PC. My original name was Mr.Panda (I <3 pandas), but then it was taken so I thought of the operating system I was and am coding so I decided on PandaOS, because the pre-alpha was to be codenamed Dark Panda OS. That is how I found stickpage, chose a name, etc.

1. How you came to Stickpage (or Fluidanims if you started there)

I came to Fluidanims on January 3rd, 2011 when I first heard of RHG from a friend on Youtube, pzicodeliki, with his RHG demo, Riku. After that, I've lingered around and saw many fantastic animations. So I tried Flash CS4, and I'm officially hooked. I've joined Eternity on April, and have grown a bond to the clan and its members.

2. Why you came to Stickpage and why you stayed

I came to Stickpage because of the FA/SP Merger. I chose to stay because I'm still continuing on animating, supporting my 2-year old clan, and complete some story arcs for my RHG (which slowly became one of most well-known RHGs). I stayed because I want to improve on animating, and hopefully it will benefit me in the future. I know I should be doing Fullbody, but I feel that I'm just not ready for it yet, and I've grown accustomed to stick figures at the moment, but slowly I'm turning stick figures into fullbody characters by adding in clothes, facial expressions, and so forth.

3. Why do you have the username you have now

Shadowkirby has been with me since 2008 when my older bro first introduced me to World of Warcraft. My bro helped me decide the name for my Undead Warlock, Shadowkirby, and since then, it became my main and permanent username. It also defines me as a fan of Kirby, and a fond of dark magic, melancholic stories and the sorts, which fits me perfectly. I'm a fan of WoW, and if it wasn't for WoW and mainly, my brother, I would be identified by a totally different name.

so, to summarize so far

How you came to Stickpage (or Fluidanims if you started there)

1) You googled "stick figures" and clicked on the second result after Wikipedia.

2) You googled "stick figures" and clicked on FluidAnims, then came here during the merge

3) You play Stick Empires

Why you came to Stickpage and why you stayed

1) You like animating

2) You like stick figures

3) You like Stick Empires

4) You have some other hobby and misguidedly joined this forum for one inexplicable reason or another

Why do you have the username you have now

1) You picked it at random

2) It's a variation of your real name

3) It's a reference to some movie/game/TV show/comic/book/etc that you like

4) It's an inside-joke from that time when [insert boring story here]

I hate threads like these. No one opens these threads because they enjoy reading long-winded, boring stories from people they don't care about. They come here to post their own long-winded, boring story that no one cares about, because what's more fun than talking about yourself?

or if you're like me, you're here just to make a mockery of the whole thing. sucks for you, I got here first.

Please post on topic Ex, thanks. ^^

I came here because an ex-friend of mine (ex- because he turned out to be pretty mean and bigoted) introduced me to the wonderful art of making stick figures beat each other up. I don't care about stick figures at all anymore, but I guess I stay because I have an emotional attachment to the community. I joined here during a very big period in my life so I kind of associate some memories with this place. Also, my username is Fusion because at the time I thought it was a cool-sounding word.
