To be fair, he can win if he moved his injured archer away, and kill the sword first, then the archer. So... I think he miscalculated.

Like micro is being able to skillfully use small amount of units like 1 or 2, right?

And, another question is do buying stuff with empire coins give any slight in-game boost or is it just purely for accessorizing?

Just ignore stickman; he's got a thing about noobs. For some reason, insulting innocent questions makes him the bigger man.

Anyway, no, buying stuff with empire coins doesn't really give a boost; but it makes yourself feel cooler and makes the enemy think he's going up against a veteran player. So, the answer, I believe, is not really, but perhaps.

As for how people got such good micro... I think Max just lucked out because whoever he fought didn't take him seriously enough. It's impossible (no matter how good you are) to constantly win against 2 archers with a sword and an archer.

Micro is basically how well you micromanage your units. This isn't limited to being small groups of units; it can extend to how you pull the giants up front, how you shield bash and cast poison spray immediately after, to how you place your merics or even how you manage your miners.

Have a good time around the forums, and try not to let the pros beat you up. Some of them may seem to hate you, but they are pretty good at StickEmpires.
