I got a new tablet the other day :D. Wacom Bamboo. So anyway I had Sai for a while but drawing with trackpad is horrible -_-, and I never really got the hang of the software. These are pretty basic lineworks, with some additions like some airbrush, etc. I guess they're okay for a first. I do see a lot of things wrong though lol, so don't hold back with the criticism. WARNING: very rough sketches. Much is appreciated C:

Dang it how do you pit a spoiler here?

The first image, the eyes are unevenly placed and it sort of spoils the rest of the picture. When you place in eyes, don't make them level to how you're looking at the image, make them level to how the character is facing, try tilting your head a little where it matches the head positioning.

The second one looks more like a foot with fingers than a hand.

The third looks fine.

Honestly not bad for your first drawings with a tablet. I know mine were much worse that those. Keep working on it and listen to Aye Aye's bit of advice above and you'll do well.

Thank you guys for the CnC ;)

I made another one just yesterday lol. You can't see it, but I was going for a smoother sketch, but it's hard to keep your hand from shaking at times. I outlined it a few times to make it straighter. This came out much much better:

Shapes make everything soooooo much easier, but it seems like you just went at it without any guide lines. The more you learn to utilize shapes, the easier it will be to form your characters in a favorable way and keep your drawings balanced (it takes the guessing out of line work and proportion). Make sure you practice practice practice man, you definitely have potential!

EDIT: If you'd like, you should pay a visit to this thread I made earlier, it demonstrates how I use shapes to create an outline for my figures. http://forums.stickpage.com/showthread.php?75710-Figure-drawings-and-other-doodles!

Lol I always use guidelines. I'm not too thorough though; I just draw the head and the upper chin and where my eyes should be. Thanks though
