So yeah, been worrying about this since I just got a brand new PSP 3000. The thing is I don't know how long I can play my PSP (I'm not saying on how long the battery will last) since I'm worrying if my PSP will overheat if I play for too long (like 3-5 hours lol).

I know this is a bit off-topic about animating stuffs but yeah.

If you guys have a PSP then please tell me on how long I can play my PSP so it won't explode (lol) like what I did to my PS3 last 2009 which I used it from day until it's night (nonstop) and suddenly the screen blacked out and the console was smoking lol.

edit: I play God of War: Ghost of Sparta for 1-2 hours.

I used to have a PSP
I used it like 24/7 it doesn't explode
that's just a thing your mom tells you so that you don't overuse it...
Have I said too much...?

I have a PS3 too and It got overheated once....
It still works tho and now It never overheats now. I can use it all day

Yeah and you shouldn't use it while charging. I heard it decreases the longness of how long battery there is
I'm so bad at explaining things

I doubt it would overheat since it radiates heat and distributes it out of the system, leaving it in direct sunlight or a heated environment on the other hand would cause problems,
Ironically the larger a device is, the less effective it is at distributing heat; this is why phones and tablets don't need fans, but laptops, consoles, and PCs do. For something larger as long as the ventilation is free of dust or obstruction it should work fine assuming it is in working order. As long as your PSP is dissipating heat correctly it should be fine, its unlikely that it will overheat unless you have a power/battery issue.

your psp will run out of battery long before it overheats, use while charging on empty might worsen battery life but if its full, it really won't matter
