So I know this really socially awkward girl who aspires to be a singer and actress and studied theater in college. So she made a homemade music video for a song she wrote called "Awkward Innocence". Just take it all in:

The melody reminds me ever so slightly of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from the Lion King. Was that on purpose?

It's honestly kind of inspiring (yet somehow a bit creepy), and innocent. She does need a lot of work on her singing, tbh. But she didn't do bad, just not excellent.

I think she has a lot of potential, but she's lacking in a lot of areas currently, namely her singing voice.

A cappella with just one person would never work no matter how they sing.

Like it's a terrible, terrible song. And video. And then your nice comments made me feel bad about laughing at it.

Yeah, it *is* terrible. But it's also terrible to post videos of people entirely for the purpose of mocking them. Maybe instead of posting this here so a bunch of teenagers could point and laugh you could have commented on the video with some friendly and constructive criticism.

How do you think the knowledge of people posting her videos to this end would affect her motivation to improve on her creative skills?
