I was lying in bed when I caught a glimpse of my foot and saw the dark spot left behind after being bitten by a spider on the skin between my ankle bone and Achilles' tendon. I've had the that mark for over one or two years now.
Anyway, I got curious and I'm making this thread to ask/discuss stuff like this. Do you have a scar or mark that looks like it will probably stay forever? How did you get it?
I also have a slight bent/squashed fingernail on my right middle finger after a draught pulled a door towards me and the metal locking part crashed into my hand, mashing my finger and making me bleed from under my nail.
About my spider bite: I was standing on a basketball court when I felt a pricking on my foot. I pulled my pant legs up a bit and saw a small brown spider latched onto my foot, biting me. I pulled the moffuggu off and dropped it on the floor. Some time later, I think I was limping around a hospital. They told me that I couldn't get antivenom because, I hadn't brought the spider to identify it. So, I took some antibiotics or something and watched my skin turn every color of the rainbow. You see, spider venom is basically enzymes(like what saliva has to break down food) and it hurts your blood, skin or whatever cells. It causes something called necrosis where basically your cells just die after being destroyed by the venom, making your skin turn black and die and all that stuff. So, there I was hoping for the life of me that necrosis wouldn't destroy my already purple skin cells. The spider looked like a brown recluse but, I thought that it might have been something else since the effects weren't too bad. Now I see this dark spot and think it might be the result of some minor necrosis. I have concluded that the spider must have been some kind of young brown recluse.
