Ever notice when you export an animation and it runs smoothly, but when you upload it there happens to be a lag in the first few frames for some reason? Well, what happens is, when you upload the animation with sound fx, the lag usually happens during the first sound fx. I've found out a way to avoid this; just follow these steps.

First of all, if you have a sound animation it would end up looking like this

Notice the lag in the first hit? That's because of the sound input.
How you would avoid this is simply by putting audio in the very first frame of the animation to get the lag out of the way. Also, to avoid hearing the sound, you could either mute it by editing the sound or by making it one frame like this:

After doing that, the animation would look like this:

Notice how the first punch was smoother now? There yah have it! How to avoid the sound lag. I don't know if people know this already, but I do still notice this issue from various animations I've seen and I want people to know how to avoid it :)

Ahhhhhh thanks for this. I've had that problem multiple times before. Good to know the solution is so simple.

Dude you are freaking AWESOME!!! Thank you so much!! I was desperate because all my animations lagged and I wasn't animating because of that :O

But just one question, how do I mute the sound? Do I go in action and write mute? Because that didn't work, can you please tell me step by step??

No problem dude! And what you'd do for the sound mute is down where all the event/stream/stop options are, there's an edit button. Click that, and bring the volume all down. But I would suggest making the audio layer one frame. Always works for me :)

Yeah I tried that and it works but my anim was short so it replayed and when it replayed well it made the sound :( So now I fixed that with actionscript, basically at the last frames I wrote GotoAndPlay(2) so it skips the first frame! check my 4 hit combo I did WITHOUT lag :D http://filz.us/W32

Thank you again, now I can animate in peace and make awesome stuffs!

Also now that I have the opportunity, your RHG battle versus Wheels is really awesome!
