Well I've been working on my flash and I'm finally not being lazy and started learning how to use the mask tool BUT it screws my anime up by making it laggy D: so I was just wondering, what requirements do you need for everything to run smooth with flash when it comes to your animations?
my comp. info at bottom...
System:
Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 2(3 won't install cause of some error)
Computer:
Intel Pentium 4
CPU 2GHz
512MB of RAM
and the gayest thing about my comp:
Intel Graphics Card(complete gayness)

Flash recommends 1 gb of ram.

But flash is gay, believe me, you can run it.
Also, I think I have a laptop with your specs.
I never use it anymore.

You can use Flash easily with those specifications.
It's just a matter of what you are doing.
For example if your working with loads of movie clips in tweens, there will be lag when you play. Or just lots of masking and so on. It does even lag on my 2 GB of ram computer. Basically it will lag if lots of things are being animated(shown) at the same time.
I suggest getting a bit more ram than THAT!
It's small really, and maybe a new graphic card. But Flash isn't a game but a program. So it does now need a super high tech graphic card. Update your drivers maybe. Free up some space.
Use Disk Cleanup.
Also I recommend you to De fragment your hard drive.
It usually can be found in accessories. Go to Start, then programs.

You dont need a graphics card and 512mb is good enough to run flash. I ran it with 512Mb for years with no problem. And unless you're running low on space (<5GB) on your hard drive there's no real need to defragment.
If your having problems when running it, try shutting off all background programs.

Like I said, free up som RAM by turning off programs like itunes or limewire while using flash. And its probably not your graphics card giving you problems.
