As the title says, If you play any of the Monster hunter series (or know about but haven't played it)...what is your favorite or most used weapon in the game?

As for me, currently, my most used weapon is the Dual Sword. Which at first, was very good since it could kill monsters in like 12 mins max without me fainting. But now, It has been a pain in the ass to use. It's now taking me 35 minutes to kill a damn Qurepeco...Still looking for a new one.

Anyways, I use both bowguns. (Favorite Light: Rathian (Rapid Pellet), Favorite Heavy: Hapurubokka) If not I also use the sword and shield, maybe the Hunting Horn at times.

EDIT: Shoot, if I had to choose one it's the Light Bowgun, rapid bursts are awesome.

long sword, simple yet effective

I prefer finding a light bowgun that has no deviation and good damage. It's awfully hard trying to find something that won't cross into Medium territory under that criteria, so I practice evasion techniques a lot to keep me mobile. I also have tried using bows recently, and have been met with some fairly sexy levels of success.

I prefer the LS since its quick and charges up to improve efficiency. It really gives that moment of awesome when its charged up to its max level and you just slice and hack away at the monster. Its also quick, pair it up with some Nargacuga armor that improves jump range and dodge invulnerability, you'll feel like a true ninja. With a long sword.

I also use the lance. I love using it when hunting items from harder foes, I become indestructible with the juice because of the infinite stamina. I also rush pass monsters with infini-stam, so its fun.
