But besides from the starts does everything feel well paced and does it feel still feel a little bit laggy frame wise?
(Anything with white backgrounds will contain a background somewhere in the future.)

Edit: This is my 4th stick animation (Other 3 were test and just trying out new things such as effects and stances)

Well, first off, its very good effects and stuff for a fourth animation. but if you are a beginner I suggest doing more simple things, like just practicing a walk cycle. Most people cant do "good" effects until they master the basics. But, I must say yours were good as a beginner.

Otherwise, it seems very unorganized; it is hard to tell what is going on. thanks for sharing.

I've been animating full body since I first begun but only 8 months ago I picked up stick fighting because I liked the style. I pretty much know all the basics, Impact gravity motion and so on, but im still perfecting my effects especial smoke.(Maybe I should stick to outline smoke instead of inside shading as well) but little things like dust and lens fare, glare and what not i'm good with or at least I know how to use every single god damm effects provided in flash (Not including all the frame by frame stuff). But by a far fetch I wouldn't call my self a beginner, rather intermediate because of knowledge in animating in the past (Referring to my full body skills) but besides that, I think everything will make sense once I add in more animation, however ill see what I can do to touch up on some parts so everything will seem like it fits together, otherwise Some parts are too fast for the human eye to realized what actually happening. (For example my RHG character falling down onto a floating island which makes the smoke cloud in the first place)

Not bad at all. The movements just seem very stiff but the pace of the animation itself doesn't seem too bad except for the beginning. I had no idea what was going on. He crashed into the big rocky platform/field and then in the cloud of dust/smoke a random other guy appeared. I didn't see where that came from.
