Just remembered I never posted this here. Oh phooey
Anyway, it's my first completed photoshop piece. I really enjoy how versatile it is and how easy it is to layer on effects and different brushes. Plus I got the sloppy oil painting look I was aiming for. Sort of anyway

I absolutely love what you did with this and it's hard to find too many things "not-okay" about it:

-It's hard to tell which way her body is spinning/turning. It's easy to tell what way she is meant to be spinning, but her leg position doesn't seem to correspond with the way her torso is twisted. That or her torso is hideously turned the wrong way after twirling too much in the sea~

-Her arms, and shoulders/shoulder-blades(?) seem a bit odd. It seems as if the arm closest to the viewer has an incredibly large shoulder-blade, or as before mentioned, her body is too twisted one way. And now maybe it's just my skewed sense of proportions, but the arm furthest away from the viewer seems a bit short.

-Now that I look over it thoroughly, I wish you had added a little more emphasis on the waves of the sea. Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing with the layers and brushstrokes added, but it seems as if the surface is just a little too flat with the way the "wind" around her is flowing. Sure, the brushstrokes with the white/light blue look good, but it still doesn't add enough depth (to the size of the waves or the mismatched coloring of the water below). This part is just personal opinion that I thought I'd put here... ENJOY :D

Overall, this is a rather magnificent piece. I am deeply impressed with the facial features of the woman. It must have been difficult with her head being so small compared to the rest of the piece, and yet it looks beautiful and the skin-tone nearly glows by itself with the surrounding colours. I also love the "messy-oil" painting style you accomplished with this. It adds a certain quality to it that just makes EVERYTHING pop out. Nice work CaM, nice work indeed.

Woah dude thanks for the in-depth criticism. I totally see where you're coming from and where I went wrong. The arm is indeed short; she's supposed to be spinning clockwise (from a top-down perspective) and I attempted to have the arm convey that, but I definitely screwed up with that lol. Plus I agree with you on the waves part.

Thanks for taking the time to say all that :)
