Are you a man enough dude to waste your time and be crowned the King of Games on a children's stick animation forum?!
Well, ARE YA?!
Inspired by Cronos' Minesweeper Thread and Exilment's Ironman Thread, the concept is simple: Every week or two, I will be posting a web or freeware game that everyone can play. You will then have a certain duration to try and best each other in typical Arcade Highscore fashion!
For the duration of the current game, you must at least get your name in the leaderboards because by the end of the current game period, you will be given points based on your ranking. (1st placer gets 10, 2nd placer a 9, and so on). As games go by, I'll be collating the collective points in each game and by the end of 10 games, the one with the most pts will be crowned the KING OF GAMES. Inb4yugiohreference.
To post your highscore, simply post a screenshot of it
in spoilers so the page doesn't stretch with all our image posting. Sometimes, I will have extra requirements as to what should be in the screenshot to prevent cheating (but really, we're all trustworthy folk here. This is just a precautionary warning.)
If you wish to stick it to the man, you can still one up each other in old games as new games are being introduced, but you will no longer be eligible for the rank pts.
So essentially, this'll be like an Arcade Game version of the BSE. It doesn't matter how high someone gets in one game, the aim is to be consistent. So don't give up as the games will definitely vary from the obscure to the ingeniously complex to the simple to learn but hard to master, and whatever happens, keep on playing guys!
One thing though is that I definitely have less time than I had before so updating scores isn't gonna be as frequent anymore although I'll try my best to keep this up when I can.
Rules:
1) No cheating/hacking. Like I said, why would you do that? I and anyone participating has the right to call a score bullshit and I reserve the right to deny a score this thread suspects is fake.
2) No butthurt/flaming comments. Keep them to yourself. This is just a game after all. You can however, brag and stuff. Just don't make it personal.
3) Don't pester me about updating the scores. Like I said, I have a life. We all do.
4) Mild discussions are okay just don't go off-topic.
**UPDATE**5) NEW RULE: When posting your screenshot, please take only the images of your score with the websites that I have linked. Screenshot your whole browser if you have to. We need to see if your shit is legit. Do NOT use any other site.
Oh and put your scores in spoilers, please!
Anyways let's get this thing started:
Game #1 - Winterbells

An easy classic. Guide the bunny up the bells with your mouse. Each bell increments your pts by 10 and as the game suggests, its best you catch the birds which double your score!

Shoot stuff in tetrisland while dodging the falling blocks and the spiky gray blocks. Build combos to upgrade your blaster and survive long enough to get a highscore. The bigger the chain of blocks you destroy the more points you get. But beware, some of the blocks you destroy, you might actually need. Patience and moderation is key here.
Remember, post your screenshot in SPOILERS showing your browser and ONLY the site in which I linked. Like so:

It's the indie game that gave birth to the Endless Runner genre! Use only the x or c key to time your jumps as alien robots take over the world...or something. Ah who cares about them?! You'll be dodging all manner of malevolence such as nukes, crashing buildings, and office furniture! Doesn't get any easier than that...
Remember, post your screenshot in SPOILERS showing your browser and ONLY the site in which I linked. Like so:

Game #4: Multitask 2

I hope you're good with your fingers cos they're about to get real busy. In this challenging puzzler, you must balance up to 6 things at once! They are 1) Left/Right, 2) Up/Down, 3) Q/E, 4) WSAD, 5) Spacebar, and 6) Shift. Each one will be happening at the same time so you only have a split-second (and a bit of luck) to outmanuever each obstacle. There are 3 modes: Standard, Challenge, and Switch. Two of those will be viable for highscoring...
Screenshot rules are gonna be different this time. First off, I will only accept images from the screens in which you game over. Do NOT take a screenshot of the frontpage menu screen highscore, I won't accept that. Once again, put your image in spoiler in

[img]http://i.imgur.com/XzyHo9T.png" style="max-width: 100%; height: auto;" alt="Image">
Second, you can post scores from both Standard AND Challenge mode in one post. I will not be taking Switch Mode scores. How will this affect the rankings? Well, Standard scores will ALWAYS be a priority no matter what but the Challenge mode score will serve as the
tiebreaker and if both players have the same Challenge AND Standard mode scores, I will take it on a first come first serve basis.
So for example:
Mustika - 40 Standard, 66 Challenge
Cronos - 60 Standard
Devour - 40 Standard, 32 Challenge
Ghombeat - 58 Standard
Smile - 40 Standard, 32 Challenge (posted earlier than Devour)
The scores will be sorted like this:
Cronos
Ghombeat
Mustika
Smile
Devour
Scores:
1st Devour - 134 (Challenge: 76)
2nd Mustika - 121 (Challenge: 76)
3rd Ghombeat - 116 (Challenge: 72)
4th Kursura - 115 (Challenge: 90)
5th GlacierSnake - 115 (Challenge: 88)
6th Gaaading - 110 (Challenge: 74)
7th Flawchy - 94 (Challenge: 70)
8th Exilement - 92
9th Hewitt - 79
10th Guitarii - 77 (Challenge: 60)
Game #5: Co-Op
No Alt Link.
Co-Op is an indie freeware game where basically, you and presumably a friend control 2 spaceships. Your goal is simple: Survive while racking up points from defeating aliens. You don't have any guns though...you're going to have to work together to
clothesline these alien sons of bitches XD That's right: there is a tether running down between your two ships and using the WSAD and Arrow Keys, you must manuever both ships in a way that you slice up your foes in between. Hilarity will ensue for sure.
Now before anyone protests, I
have tried playing this alone and it IS possible. Whether or not having 2 people would produce an advantage is quite subjective if you ask me. You either have the hand-eye coordination of a hawk, or you have extremely amazing synergy with your partner. Whichever path you choose, let it be the truest one :D
**UPDATE** If your partner also happens to be a user in this forum, then you will be scored as a duo. As a duo, that score will be ineligible for the entirety of Score Attack. In order to make it eligible you must designate a "Main User" from which he will be the individual to score. The partner lucks out.
For the screenshot, you must take a screen of your Game Over screen. The hi-score will be on the upper right with your current score in the upper-left as seen here:
See? Easy peasy. Now get to it, gents!
Scores:
1st Mustika - 341,895
2nd Kursura - 290,175
3rd Ai - 242,205
4th Devour - 206,290
5th Gaaading - 176,000
6th Flawchy - 74,580
7th BoomerangReturns - 43,650

GlacierSnake / FuzzyBrain - 33,820
9th Sans - 22,535
10th Cronos - 22,045
Game #6: Exit Path 1
Alt Link:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/538792
As promised and hinted early on, this is the jmtb02 game I was talking about that was in the list! Sorry Raptor, no This Is The Only Level for you. This was originally the game I posted to challenge Exilement with when he still had his ironman thread up. It went unanswered whereby it will be put here for good use. We'll be competing for best times this time.
Exit Path is an Orwellian you-will-die platformer where you play as a stickman on the run in a city that demands entertainment. Using your arrow keys and the space bar, you must traverse an extremely convoluted maze of spikes, buzzsaws, and swinging axes in order to find your way out. On your quest to reach the titular Exit Path you will come upon the game over screen, complete with your total time, your personal rank-name, and the number of Symbols you've collected in your run (seen on the lower right).
This is the screen we will need to see for this round, as it has everything we need. You'll notice that you can collect little triangle thingies called
Signs that are strewn around the game numbering at 1 per level. Collecting this is entirely optional as they take an extra step of difficulty to attain. However, for this round, they will serve the following purpose:
Collect at least 10 Signs - decrease 5 seconds from your final time
Collect at least 15 Signs - decrease 10 seconds from your final time
Collect at least 20 Signs - decrease 25 seconds from your final time
Collect at least 25 Signs - decrease 30 seconds from your final time
Collect all 30 Signs - decrease a whole minute from your final time
You'll notice that as you collect more signs, more seconds will be deducted. This is because as the stages go on, they'll be more and more difficult to acquire, if not require more time and precision on your part. So it's risk vs reward. Do you dare challenge yourself?
Also, I am aware that there is an Exit Path 2, but it is very PC-resource heavy and I'm afraid not every one of us can take it (mine was barely hanging in there). I was originally going to give you both games, but this is fine too. And in hindsight, it's less of a headache to sort scores for. Enjoy your run, guys. And good luck!
Scores:
1st Mustika - 3:23:87 (30 Signs)
2nd Ai - 3:26:60 (30 Signs)
3rd GlacierSnake - 3:39:67 (30 Signs)
4th Exilement - 3:47:77 (30 signs)
5th Zed - 3:52:93 (30 Signs)
6th Ghombeat - 4:57:87 (30 Signs)
7th Hewitt - 4:52:53 (4 Signs)
8th BoomerangReturns - 7:15:97 (20 Signs)
9th Kursura - 15:54:13 (23 Signs)

Game #7: Amorphous+
Alt Link:
http://www.kongregate.com/games/innocuousgames/amorphous
I'm sure everyone who has ever played flash games will have at least passed this by once. You play as the nameless exterminator who must smash some glooples with his handy dandy splatmaster 3000 (and later on a more dangerous weapon). With the exception of a certain item, you only have one life to move around with your mouse and splat them flat by clicking before you die any one of the many kinds of gruesome deaths the various gloople subspecies can do to you.
There are 2 game modes: Single Nest and Bounty Run. For this mode it doesn't matter what you choose to score in. All I need is the game over screen as seen here:
Why? Because, this screen tells us 2 things: your score, and what you were holding when you died. You see, later on in the game, you get a chance to unlock the
RAZOR GLAIVE, which is in itself an OP weapon of awesomeness that can cut down normally difficult glooples with ease. It's a bitch to unlock though, but you have a week so you might as well make it worth your while. I don't wanna go into specifics, but basically you have to unlock the bestiary entries and kill the razor queen to acquire it. Look it up on google.
Anyways, why is the weapon so important? Well, for this round, there will be TWO scoreboards: one for using the Splatmaster 3000 and one for using the Razor Glaive. You CANNOT be eligible to score in both boards. That means by the end of this round, I will simply be taking the higher score and that will be your rank points. So it's impossible to gain more than 10 points in this round but it is very possible for 2 people to walk away with 10 points altogether. The question is: where will you invest your time in more? Risk vs Reward once again!
Scores:
1st Mustika- 2,928
2nd Devour - 2,912
1st Hewitt- 2,183 (w/ Razor Glaive)
3rd Kursura - 2,183
4th Flawchy - 2,132
5th Zed - 1,604
6th BoomerangReturns - 1,565
7th GlacierSnake - 1,250
8th Ghombeat - 1,193
9th Ai - 1,145
10th Ikarhan - 471
Happy Hunting Gents!
Gratuitous wanton destruction awaits as the you, the titular shark take on Manhattan, Sydney, Miami, The Middle Ages, and Prehistoric Times! It's really easy: use the arrow keys and the A key to eat stuff! Moar things = Moar combos = MOAR POINTS!!! Essentially each of these 5 games are the same (althou
