I've posted this in Hyun's Dojo a few days ago, but it has received no attention. So I decided to post the same thing here in hopes to get some attention. (I'm actually looking for suggestions and stuff)
So here's the exact copy from Hyun's Dojo.
History:
So I had this idea of making some animations of guns shooting in first-person, like in a first-person shooter. So I created a crappy one of a pistol firing. Not satisfied, I gave it an ammo count and a reload button. To shoot it, you had to press the 'shoot' button, and to reload, you'll have to spend all the ammo to make it automatically reload or press the 'reload' button. It looks like a crap version of a first-person shooter, but doesn't feel like it. Nevertheless, I posted it on the Fluidanims FB page, and people liked it, saying that it's a 'good time waster' and encouraged me to continue with it, so I experimented and tinkered with the coding for custom Flash cursors, and got the right code to use as a background so it feels more like an actual FPS game. I put in a crosshair, removed the buttons, made a large transparent button to fire, and 'r' to reload, along with a temporary working background.
For those who didn't read (good on you), basically, I just made some first-person firing animations and buffed it up with interactive stuff using simple coding. Surprisingly, people on the Fluidanims FB page liked it, so I continued with it. Some of the codes are pulled from the Internet and edited to suit my needs (I'm no programmer).
UPDATE:
http://filz.us/24Rw
Really happy with how the gun rework turned out.
Feel free to post any suggestions (not too flashy, mind you. I'm no programming god) or bug reports (shouldn't be many, as this is just a small time-wasting project).
Plans:
Sounds
Better pistol graphics and animations
Better crosshair
Better background
Better ammo count position
MOAR DAKKA (More guns)
