Favorite anime character: Mataichi from Requiem From the Darkness
He's just a great character and an awesome spiritualist. He's in a group called the Ongyou, spiritual beings that are sent to punish and kill big-time sinners, ex. murderers. He is accompanied with two other spiritual beings, Ogin, a seductive puppeteer, and Nagamimi, a shape-shifter. I just like him because of how he and the group can actually warp one's mind into confessing the crime, and he gets to kill them. Pretending to be a talisman seller, he collects info about rumors and other things in order to get closer to his target. Once they find the sinner, he rings a bell to start the execution. As the leader, he is very cryptic and cunning, very smart and wise about the mysteries and rumors.
