i only usually find something interesting if there is a possibility it is true, but then again ive never looked into it.

No it's not. Whenever I asked these sort of questions, IRL, those were the things I heard all the time.
A 'miracle' is nothing reliable. Whenever I heard about a miracle, I changed the subject . 'Do you believe in aliens and that they make cropcircles?' was the question. 'No.' has always been the answer. Isn't that actually the same?
A book isn't reliable either. It's not like I'm going to the UK to look for Hogwarths, or however it's spelled.
Growing up with it isn't reliable either. It's obvious.

That was why I asked for real reasons. I meant reliable reasons.

Holy cow, how many times do I have to say: This isn't something that can be decided, I was aware of that when I started this. I was interested in opinions.

I personally dont think their is a god. Nor is there anything after life. You die, it ends. Nothing happens.

Anyway whoever wrote the bible contradicts themselves in several circumstances. I watched a video about it somewhere... but i can't remember where.

Wow you make a great point about the contradictions! A video on youtube? What an endless source of intelligence.

The bible was written by several people. Not to mention that the bible was not completely assembled in that time period so that authors could check their work. I don't know how many times this has been stated in this thread.

agreed. you need to read/learn more into it than looking at a simple youtube video that says a lot of bullshit about the person that contradicts themself in the bible. tell that person to stfu and read a bit. thats what im doing, and after reading some of the God delusion (part way through), the Dawkins delusion and "does god believe in atheists" along with a lot of sources off the internet and the bible itself, i have found my search not conclusive at all. after learning a bit more, i am now more an agnostic inclined towards theism. once ive finished all my books i shall post back all my infinite wisdom on the matter.

and im sure we will all be greatly impressed. but the thing is we all have our own picture of god, and it is based on who we are, what we do, what we think is right, or experiences. two people could have been brought up the exact same way, with no influence whatsoever, man1 could have a good friend on the verge of dieing and prays to god to let him live. if his friend dies however, he might be inclined to think god does exist because he thinks its unfair that his buddy died. man2 however could be in the same situation, and his friend lives, which could incline him to believe there is a god for the mercy he has witnessed.

This thread will never find a right answer to his question, no matter how hard we try to impose our own beliefs on each other. No one will ever know until they die, if there is a supreme being, or if their just gonna rot in the ground.

but me personally cant think of what it would be like to be dead, your spirit or soul has to go somewhere, do something.

Uncolored - we will never know but we can still debate the matter by bringing in probability and what we know so far. and when i die, i wants my 72 virgins!

I am unsure if god is real or not, I gusse once I died I will know.

It's all about faith. You just believe in Him and don't expect Him to show himself to you around the next corner.

God also gave all humans free will. If there is war, rapes, etc. then it's our fault, not His. He's all powerfull, etc. but he won't smite you when you do something wrong.

i personally have seen this many times... debates about god being real or un real..... but they all come up to the same thing... a big fat.. ?..

god is real..
we have examples frm the bibles, ppl who "had" contact and etc...
now a human wrote the bible so its not perfect
and i dont belive ppl had contact with him or heaven because one your there... i dont think he wants you to come back

scientist say that god was "made up" so the human man does not go mad saying why am i here what am i suppose to do with my life... whats my purpose... also scientist say that they wnated to find out the unknown and help ppl conqur it....

now heres a tip.... God... has put us here to make life.. children after mariage and no smoking drinking etc... but no body is perfect and god does not control us.... god gives us that nudge that little bit of covendience we can do it... god is also resonible... god will forgive sins... but sumtimes man have taken them 2 far thats why theres hell... to be n heaven is a privillage but then again its a treasure... god isent gonna say i want the purest cuz no1 in this world is pure... god is resonible... but if you killed a man and denie it under his name... i dont think he will forgive...

but guys really its all faith.. every1 is diffrent 2 there own opions... and thats why god is great... he dosent force us to do sumthing but we have the will to know if it is right or wrong... and sumtimes we make wrongs.. but god is forgiving and were are just humans... waiting for judgement day
