You do realise such documents can be faked?

Also, if god is omnipotent, he would know that they would take the fruit from the tree, knowingly damning us for eternity without a single glimpse of hope, making him a mean sadistic horrible bitch.

God doesn't control humans. The whole story of Adam and Eve is to show how humans have the right to make choices. Also, it's meant to explain why humans are not in paradise if we are his creatures. The story is meant to show that every choice is important and that you should make your choices in coordination with what God wants (commandments).

Oh look, another knowingly misinterpreted bible story to aid the "God fails" argument. Quick, take a picture.

Basically God is real if you believe in him.

If you don't then he doesn't exists for you.

HEAVEN and HELL is your imagination as well as God but we don't really know if he exists or not. Some people believe in him and pray to him, some don't.(Atheists.)

Thanks for stating out the concept of belief. I would of never have figured it out with out you.

Your post was unbelievably retarded. I've seen dumb, but god damn.

To go off of what Dudeman was saying, a lot of the stories in the bible are not meant to be taken literally and are just meant to teach a lesson.

OP, when you say "Why are there so many religions if blah blah" You are wrong. There are so many religions that are so similar because people have minor conflicts and sometimes these people have the power to change things so they create a new slightly different religion to escape from the conflict they had with a previous church. So I think it went Judeaism (sp) to Christianity and then from Christianity, then Muslims, then from Christianity there was the orthodox and roman catholic church and then from those two split Lutherans, Mormons, etc.

Oh quick, if god is almighty and omnipotent then he would know EVERYTHING

If he doesn't then he does not have the right to be named god.

Assuming free will exists God could know every possible option and outcome but he doesn't know who will choose what.

And, who are you to decide what does and doesn't have the right to be called God? Who are you define what can and cannot be worshiped.

In the pretenses of religion such as free-will for man kind it is easy for god to exist, but in the real world it's a bit harder.

God is almighty, he knows everything thats going to happen and when.

Therefor he is omnipotent, claiming he does not know what option a person will choose conflicts with his omnipotence, so when he claims this, he is a liar.

One. God did not right the bible. Two. If god knew what everybody was going to do that would ignore another more important concept in the bible which is free will of man kind.

Look, its fine to argue your points against religion but you don't have to be obnoxious when you do it. It's really childish.

Yeah, and this shows how much you know about the bible, the bible was written in parts by several people over a long period of time, AKA the gospels, revolutions, old testament, several different people.

Of course you don't because you've never read the bible OR tried to understand it in the least bit.

Dogmatic arguments on both sides, if you ask me.

And yet you are still retarded.

Your like a conspiracy theorist backing a conspiracy theory that hasn't even been thought of yet.

Even if you can't prove the gospels and revelations were written by different people if you look at it this way.

Jews. Came about 2000 years before Jesus, so they were following the old testament for 2000 years. Then after Jesus there was the new testament, which the Christians now followed. So I guess the great fiction writer who wrote the old testament decided to live 2000 years and write the new testament also?

That totally makes sense.
