If we don't really know how the world was created, and don't
really know if god exist. Why do we go to church?

church is full of hypocrits and two-faced christians....last time i check...all churches break most of god rules then the average person......like somewhere in the bible...it says something about...you shouldn't profit off of the church(forgot where i saw that) or profit off of the word...and at the end of that damn book...you shouldn't change the words around or something...but I only seen that in the king james version....

TITHES AND OFFERING(how ever you spell it) is the biggest most retarded thing ever...they try to state that if you don't pay your tithes...god gonna get you...financially..they even squeezed it in the king james bible somewhere..thats an loler 2 me because they judging God's judgement and emotions as if he was human....but anyway...screw the punctuation...2 lazy :P

ok this thread fails because the question is asking for a absolute.
it needs to be "do you believe in god" because like every one else said
its impossible to say that he is or isn't existent, but you can believe he dosn't just like people others believe that he dose.
me personally think no.

3. (My favorite, but I'll save the best for last) All religions.

So if there would be a loving god and he wanted to be praised, why would he make so many religions anyway? Wich mostly have the same basic thoughts, but still are soooo different from eachother? These differences (Did I spell it right, or should it be differenses?) make war and stuff like that, a good god wouldn't do something like that, would he?
But, of course this doesn't disprove that there is no god, but like the other ones, it proves that if there is a god, he isn't quite the god most people on earth thought he would be.

I don't know if this has already been said, and Im too lazy to read the whole thread, but what gave you the idea that God made all of the religions. God made man, who in turn created all of the other religions.

OP, when you say "Why are there so many religions if blah blah" You are wrong. There are so many religions that are so similar because people have minor conflicts and sometimes these people have the power to change things so they create a new slightly different religion to escape from the conflict they had with a previous church. So I think it went Judeaism (sp) to Christianity and then from Christianity, then Muslims, then from Christianity there was the orthodox and roman catholic church and then from those two split Lutherans, Mormons, etc.

If there is a supreme being or creator of the universe, he isn't any of the deities I've ever heard of, so if the question were worded better to ask if the Christian God were real, the answer is no.

Its 1:47 AM here dude, also learn to read because my user name is Rather Cheesy, not land161.

and I said the Theory of Evolution is a THEORY, nothing more. We don't even know if the big bang actually happened, we have evidence pointing towards that being the case, but we have no solid proof. I'm on the side of there not being a god, but we have to plant our beliefs in solid facts in order to prove anything. The theory of evolution is not a fact, it is a possibility. God may exist, but there is no proof of his existence, therefore, until proof appears, we can safely assume he does not.

It's true, however scientific theory and theory have different definitions. I think you can search Scientific Theory in Wikipedia.

First of all, I believe that most of your arguments were created by peoples free will, not (if there is one) god.

But God is there to answer questions like "where did the universe come from?". So the theory of God could well have been created simply to satisfy humans curiousity.

Although, having said that, god does seem to be quite a 'logical solution'.

So, yes, perhaps god does exist.

God, force, genie, olympians, etc. These deities have always been given names. Perhaps we personify deities because that is all we understand.
