i was wondering what maps should i do sword +archer cuz everytime i do it my opponent does the same and they micro better lol or,they get 3 swords and boss. And if they get a castle archer at start and u rush with ur sword and archer u run cuz CA pwns and ur behind in eco they get few swords and spear and ur pwned:P, 2 swords 3 miners or castle archer miner seems to work better than S+A:P

Use in the maps Castle, Halloween, swamp, and desert. Dont use it in any other map.

And if your enemy goes for a castle archer, dont just let your units die. Retreat and take the tower. Then you will have a somewhat decent economy while having a larger army. If he goes for 3 swords, then use kiting to get rid of them.

Yeah, but to counter that get castle archer. He'd still have an archer to kite your swords.

on castle there are only 2 really helpfull starts: sword-archer or CA...this map is so little, every other options would fail :/

What? Miner archer is a great start to use on maps like castle.

Not unless you're good enough at micro to stop sword-archer or lucky enough to evade spearton start.

you dont need insane micro to stop sword archer, you just need to retreat to your own base and buy another sword, then wait for the second archer, which will overpower their forces. If they initially try to attack then your miners can absorb some hits giving you the advantage when your sword arives.

And spearton start is lol.

CA start is one of the stupidest start players in the 1600s do. If you do this, you're losing tower which gives 1.5 economy and a standing army. Once that spearton gets out he can start harassing and there's not much you can do.

Miner-archer is possible with micro, but you're also sacrificing tower. I find I have a 50/50 win rate against miner archer, I go for the 2nd archer because of tower.

i think archer-miner on castle is very difficult, cause casle is very very very small :/ on deserts, swamp, etc it is really great ^^

In short, use it only on short maps (Castle, Desert). And put archer in front of your sword just by a little. Case closed.

There is also another variation against archer-miner. Buy sword-archer, let the sword stay at your base, when archers come out go and attack only with archer, now archer vs archer, come with your sword as a surprise ^^

I would put the archer ahead of the sword by a decent bit so that it absorbs 1 or maybe even 2 arrows for your sword, so that your full health sword eventually fights a damaged sword, basically guarenteed win.

But if it is too far ahead, and the opponent does the same, their archer will get one or two shots before yours. There is a very fine line as to were you should have the archer, and it is that precision that makes the best players different.
