Hey there. I'm newbie here. I'm just about to get in gaming world so that's why I opened this thread.
I was thinking of buying psp and then ps2. But I would like to get psp first before I get the home console. I'm noob. So hope you all can help me and tell me your experience in using these two device. :D
Got a few question, here they are..
PSP
1. Which version is the best? Psp 2k or psp 3k?
2. Is it truth that you have to use the latest firmware to play any games without problem? No matter what year the games are published for example like Gta San Andreas in 2006?
3. What the most important and useful accesories for psp so it won't break when you drop it incidentally?
4. Is it truth that psp buttons can break easily?
5. Best open world games for psp?
6. Best site to download free psp games?
7. Is it truth that there aren't any good games for psp?
PS2
1. Is it truth that ps2 slim can be overheat easily?
2. Is ps2 games still available now?
3. What the advantages of ps2 modded?
Freaking sorry if I trouble you all but I really need to know all this so I know everything about psp thing. :D

Well, I can't answer your PS2 Questions because I never had one (only played it once.). But I could answer some of your PSP Questions.
Not sure if this will help ya. Anyway, good luck.
edit - Also, this might be the wrong section for you to ask....not sure.

Is it true that there aren't any good PSP games ?
No. There is a game called Monster Hunter : Freedom United
It is a game of action with swords, hammers, bows etc where you hunt huge monsters in dangerous environments to build better armors and weapons to beat stronger monsters etc... You should look at some videos on YouTube and see if you might like it.
It's a bit tricky at the beginning but when you are used to hunting you know basic reactions and attitudes of your enemies, you become a true hunter !
PS: Nhazul and Tentionmaru are MH fans :3

PSP
1.) Lol don't listen to Digital. PSP Slim (2k) is less likely to depreciate because compared to the 3k, its circuits are held with at least a few bolts as oppose to the 3k where its all mostly adhesive (hence the slimmer size). The hardware has nothing to do with the software. Smaller is not definitely better.
2.) Uh yeah, thats what the firmware is for.
3.) A hard plastic case. But dont drop it and youll be fine.
4.) No. At least, in comparison with its competitor, the DS. PSP buttons are sturdier.
5.) the 2 GTA games
6.) Uh yeah, I'm infracting you in a second.
7.) It depends on your tastes. What do you want us to say?
PS2
1.) Not easily, but more likely to than the PS2 since they essentially reduced the fan to make it slimmer
2.) PS2 production stopped aged ago so its games would also have stopped then.
3.) Once again, infraction incoming.

wth, get a psp 1k. I have a 1k and a 3k, and tbh, i like the nice feel of the thick sides of my 1k.Also, it seems to start games up faster, it has a safer battery compartment (sony made the 3k's battery 1200mah to make it slimmer, but the 1k has 1800mah so better battery life) and it's just more solid than a 3k. You could go for a 2k, but im just loyal to my 1k imo.

A psp 1k is the most durable yes and still the most optimal choice. I only didnt include it in my answer because the kid was clearly asking between the 2k and the 3k.

Relating to question 4, small chances. If you hit the buttons too hard yes.
To question 5, hmm...all I know is Patapon lol.
Relating to question 7, no. There are tons of good games. Like Patapon. I love Patapon, that is the most beaty game ever.
