Name: Freewind Raging Tornado Cagefire aka The Guardian of the Forest
Appearance: Freewind is an anthropomorphic* griffin** that wears brown shorts with a hole in the back near the top so that his tail can stick through. The feathers on his wings and head are black while the fur on his body, tail, arms and legs are a midnight black. His claws on his hands and feet are a golden color. His eyes are a mysterious yellow color and his beak is a yellowish-orange color. Freewind is also 20 years old, 5'11" tall and weighs167 lb.
*anthropomorphic means that an object or animal has human characteristics such the front paws of this griffin acting as hands and standing upright on his two hind feet and his eagle head looking like a human face only with a beak and no nose and covered in feathers.*
** This griffin in particular has an eagle's head and wings, a lions body, front and rear feet, and tail.**
Personality: Freewind is quiet at times but can be extremely silly or serious when he wants to be. In battle he is extremely focused and will always fight to the end.
Abilities/weapons:
Tribal Bow- this bow contains the very spirit of his tribe and arrows fired from it do massive damage when they hit.
Original Chief's Dagger- this dagger is nothing special except it belonged to the original chief of Freewind's tribe.
Tribal Staff- this staff contains the souls of everyone from Freewind's tribe excluding Freewind who is the last member of his tribe. The staff cannot be broken but if it ever is it will let loose a shock-wave of such force that it will destroy everything in a 50 mile radius.
Freewind can control the wind and can create huge windstorms including tornadoes or he can create tiny tornadoes that float around him just for effect and he has a separate energy pool just for his wind powers but if he can only keep any wind he conjures up while he thinks about it but the wind will pewter out if he is distracted.
Claws- Freewind has razor sharp claws that can rip through flesh like it was made of paper.
Healing Chanting- Freewind will start chanting if he is injured and he will heal completely but slowly. The chanting also takes his full concentration a lot of his energy and as long as 10 minutes to fully heal all of his wounds.
Flying- Freewind can fly because of his wings and will usually take flight during a battle and attack from the air at blinding speed.
Weaknesses:
Freewind only carries up to 35 arrows at any time.
He will never use the staff in battle and keeps it strapped to his back but if he ever loses it he go after it instead of fighting or if it is stolen he will hunt down the person and attack them with such ferocity and recklessness that he will tire out quickly and endure any damage done to him for he will not start avoiding damage until he gets his staff back. He will keep fighting like this as long as his opponent still has his staff and will pass out from exhaustion, after a maximum of 15 minutes, or dies from the damage done to him.
If his beak is clamped shut he cannot chant.
His wings are the weakest point of his body and if damaged will render him unable to fly.
He is easily distracted by fire.
Story: Freewind is from a dimension where there are few humans and lots of anthropomorphic animals and is also the last of his tribe. His tribe was destroyed by a group of six dragons known as the "Pack of Six," when he was very young. He vowed revenge and started learning the ways of the four elements. He had managed to hunt down and kill four of the dragon and had mastered the use of all four elements and was even able to turn into them. He managed to catch up with the last two dragons from the "Pack of Six," and challenge them to a fight. The fight was long and brutal, but ended when the two dragons opened a portal and threw Freewind through. Freewind lost the ability to control the elements of earth, fire, and water, and some of his mastery over the wind, when he went through the portal. When he did land here he was badly injured. He had managed to stagger into a forest where he collapsed on the spot. It was days until he did wake up, and when he did he started to chant to heal himself. When he was fully wounded he set out looking for someone who might be able to send him back. He discovered much to his surprise that there were very little animals like him and that this world was inhabited by humans. Unsure what to do he went from place to place trying to find help but instead found trouble. He had to fight more times than he liked too and was eventually forced to join the wrhg. He heard that someone might be able to help get him back but it would take time for them to reveal themselves to him. With that information in hand Freewind build a small hut in the small forest that the park in the city had. There he protected the park and his legend grew as he fought person after person just waiting for the person that could sent him back to his own dimension, to reveal their identity to him.
Demo: Freewind sat in a tree munching on an apple as he watched the sun set. Suddenly, the branch next to him exploded when a bullet ripped through the branch. Freewind screeched loudly startled and dropped the apple as he looked in the direction in which the bullet came from.
“Damn! Missed,” swore a man.
The man that swore held a shotgun, and was dressed in black combat gear. There were three other men with him, also dressed in black combat gear, which aimed assault rifles at Freewind. Freewind jumped off of the branch as the men fired. He then unhooked his bow and knocked two arrows as the men kept firing. Freewind landed on his feet and fired both arrows at the men. The arrows hit two of the men and sent them flying back twenty feet. The one of the two men hit a tree and broke his neck while the other one landed on his back dead as the arrow that hit him had punctured his heart. The man holding the shotgun fired another shot at Freewind. The shot hit Freewind in the left shoulder and caused him to screech in pain. He then took flight and hid amongst the trees. The two men gave chase but lost Freewind among the trees. Freewind started to chant in a strange dialect while he hid. The wound in his shoulder started to slowly close as he chanted while the men kept searching for him. Just as his wound fully closed and the men discovered his hiding spot and started shooting.
"You shall not kill me today, humans!" Screamed Freewind as he spread his wings and conjured a small tornado.
The men tried to run but were sucked into the tornado as Freewind took flight and flew up high the wind not affecting him, for he made it flow around him. Screaming could be heard from inside as the tornado sent the men high into the sky. Freewind called off the wind and the tornado disappeared as the men went a little higher before falling back to the earth. Freewind caught the man that had the shotgun and screeched in his face as the other hit the ground with a sickening crunch.
"D-d-don't kill me," pleaded the man.
Freewind looked at the man and said, "I will kill you, for you tried to kill me."
And with that Freewind unsheathed the claws on his left hand and swiped them across the man's neck. Freewind then dropped the man and watched the blood spurt out of his neck as and fell. Freewind then let out a victory screech once the man hit the ground and glided to a tree and landed on a sturdy branch so that he could finish watching the sun set.
