Very soon, a highly anticipated animation called "The Forgotten Legion" will be released. We want to get it around and allow as many people as possible to see it and and enjoy it, so I am asking if you know of any other communities like Stickpage or Hyun's Dojo?

This will also help other users find amazing new communities to be apart of!

Thanks guys,

Actually, newgrounds isn't actually a stick animation type. It does have some stick figure animations but most of the anim there are fullbody.

Also, as Guardiantempest said, you could post it on deviantart or youtube.

What do you mean by "you people"? Don't you animate sticks as well? Isn't that why we sans me are all here?

Anyways, CoolingFever, Zed's right. The world has moved on and this little slice of heaven is all that's left standing. And no Hyun's Dojo is more of a surrogate of NG and FA so it doesn't count.

I thought I visited some korean or chinese stick communities back in the 2012 but I can even remember their links, all I remember is that they have this obstacle course maze collab which I watched about 50 times or so. But yh I think Stickpage is the only one around here left standing. Just post it on youtube and if you have enough subscribers they'll watch or favourite it and their followers will see that they've watched it and they spiderweb will just keep on spreading (best case scenario).

I'd think word of mouth would be sufficient if it's "highly anticipated"

Looking as how you want to show it off to 'as many people as possible' - I don't see why you're limiting it to just Animation Communities.
Most people these days search for as many other animation communities as they possibly can just to show off their latest big animation.
And it's true for most people as it seems as the best possible idea.

However when you have someone new to an animation community and nobody knows them, the community can relatively react harshly towards you,
as you would just be someone spamming your work on their website. Animation communities are also mostly for becoming better at animation or making better animations, in all likely hood you should be prepared to get tons of critique(weither you like it or not) because that's what those sites are there for in the first place!
It would get you some views, but often times as seen, lots of hate as well.
If you still decide to go this route be sure that your film will make it to the community standards before approaching them.
And if you do approach them, do it some time before releasing your film.

What you should be doing is getting the word out there. Since animation is most commonly used for entertainment, you will want to have it available on sites where people can see it and show it to others if they like it. Sites that deal in social media are a good place to start.
-Facebook wont turn out good results unless you already have a following that checks your page often.
Generally I've had a lot of bad experiences using facebook to promote anything, since it's more of a private social network than a public one.
I'm listing it but I don't recommend it unless you have things going good, or friends irl who don't know what you do in your spare time.

-Making a Tumblr for it and releasing statuses/previews will work out really well. Be sure to tag your posts and make your own tag for the project so once the word gets out people can search for the tag and get it near instantly. Once you have the Tumblr made and a preview up, I recommend putting a link to it in your signature and tell people you know who use tumblr to check it out.
If you do this, be sure to pm me a link as well, I might be able to get you some extra notice.

-Putting a trailer on Youtube will usually get you subscribers before it's actually released. By building up some minor hype, people will be likely to share it on their own.
If you overdo the hype, you'll have viewers with bitter feelings afterwards, generally not a good thing to have.
This works great combined with Tumblr for increasing views because it's introduced to more mediums.

-Newgrounds, stickfigures or not. Yes there are lots of trolls on here that do not like stickfigures and Zero-Bomb anything that doesn't have boobs or is a horrible parody.
There is someone out there in the midst of them who will actually enjoy it and look for if you have more. If you decide to put it on newgrounds, make a status post on there linking to your other sites you have it on, such as your tumblr/blog, youtube, hyunsdojo, etc.

-Twitter, it's a bit cheap but you can get people to follow you by following them or making tweets about following them if they share or reblog your posts linking to your video on youtube, twitter, or wherever you have it. Generally making people go through a loophole like making them visit your tumblr/blog where the youtube is embedded is a good idea because from here they can check out your youtube and tumblr/blog in the same go.
