Hello, this is my 4th animation ever. I'm testing out some things like, shadows, sounds, and I threw in a background gradient just for fun.

I know it's a little choppy, but it's not bad.

Not bad, but there are some things that you should work on.
The choppiness isn't the main issue. The anatomy of the stickfigure seems to change on every frame. It's mostly wobbliness. I would advise you to check out some basic movement tutorials in the tutorial section, and just work on the basics for a bit. Also, look back at each frame and make sure you draw the stick figure neatly and make sure it doesn't re-size. I'm sure you're skill level will soar.
You have great potential! You seem to have a good grasp of using the tools on flash, now work on those movements!

Ah, yes. That would be because I'm drawing with a mouse. I've tried a drawing tablet before, but it didn't suit my style. But since you've pointed it out so clearly, I'll put in some extra effort so that there is no odd spots!

Yeah man that would be for the best ^-^
If you are using a mouse I would suggest you use the line tool though, since it is less messy and can really help with choppiness. But as long as you use the paint tool carefully it can still turn out well with a mouse. You decide man, good luck

Yeah, I actually did try the line tool for my first animation but, it didn't feel as mobile or as comfortable as the brush tool does now.
And thanks, I hope to become one of the best. :D

if you dont like the line tool try out the pencil tool. it gives you the mobility of the brush while allowing you to make smoother lines and easily edit the stick.
in your animation the stickfigure was a little choppy like stickly said. If your stick doesn't look good the first time just ctrl z and draw again. The stickfigure looks odd at some points. Try to make the arms connect to the shoulder/body not to the head. and lastly the shadow effect isn't the greatest. make it more transparant by adjusting the alpha level to make it stand out less.
the sound is synced badly. if your sound effects are set to event change it to stream. stream allows for better syncing by forcing the animation to catch up with the sounds while event just keeps on playing sounds even on a lag spike. Also play around with what frame the sound starts. try to get the perfect place.
all in all this is a good 4th animation. If continue practicing you'll get better.

Hmm, alright. The Pencil tool? That never really came into my train of thought at all. Thanks for that suggestion though, I will try it.
Yeah, it's choppy. That thought is straight in my head aswell. I've gotten a little better at smoothing it out though. With the arms, I usually draw the body, then a bit later I just plop the head on top. I'm not seeing how it looks odd, but I'll take it into consideration. Shadow effect was to stand out? I actually did use the alpha level to bring it down, I guess it wasn't enough.
Sounds are bad, I know x). Thanks for this advice on sound, I'll test it all out in my next animation.
